What Scares You?

Nothing terrorizes a nation like the sight of Senob behind the wheel.

My greatest fear is that one, no make that two, no, make that three gorgeous women will want to take me home one night and fuck my brains out....

Dont take this as a smart ass answer but...whats the difference in 10 feet of water compared to 1000 feet...you still cant touch and have to swim, I actually used this analogy in a water rescue training session where a candidate freaked when he asked how deep the water was (100+)

It's not about me touching anything . . . I think what it is is that I have the tendency to feel like single salmon egg . . bobbing about, just ready to become gobbled up by a 30 lb Lake Trout (Mackinaw) while in vast water ;)

I think that my fear of water depths all started from boating in Lake Tahoe where, particularly in past years, the water is remarkably clear and you could see down to unbelievable depths. There was this one area where I used to troll for rainbow trout - The depth 300 - 400 yards off the shore was about three to four fathoms and all of the sudden there would be this shelf that dropped down to black unknown depths. That contrast freaked me out ! Always will ! I'd probably drown in panic if tossed overboard at that particular area of the lake.

I used to set the 9 horsey Mercury outboard engine at it's slowest speed dead ahead and I'd go up to the bow of the aluminum boat, look directly down and cruise over the top of that shelf, quite often, in the hopes of overcoming the excitement . . and I'll be damned if the sight didn't take my breath away each time :dunno:

Dinsdale Piranha's brother Doug scares the crap out of me

I'm terrified of my girlfriend getting hurt/raped. It's a shitty thing to be scared of, but I went through it once and I can't handle it again!! It's especially hard when she's so far away from me.

Also, on a "lighter" note, the unknown. Like things under the water I can't see when I'm swimming. If I saw a shark, I'd be ok. But just wondering if there could be one near me gives me the willies.

I take it you've never been on lake Superior. :dunno: Ummm, yeah, it's pretty friggin big alright. Biggest freshwater lake on the planet. I get up there from time to time. Beautiful lake.

A lot of shipwrecks on that lake from years past. It 's basically a freshwater ocean.

Why does that actually scare you? If youre dead you dont have to care anymore...do you?

I think it sounds more like the dying part, not the death itself. Like getting really old and still being alone, and just disapearing in the night with no one else with you... I feel that too, I guess. :(

Never feeling a womans touch again and dying alone!

Sharks though I am fascinated by them and watch everything I can on them. Worst nightmare for me would be floating in the open sea wondering what was below me.

I am afraid of bees, hornets and wasps, I am also afraid of spiders when they are inside. If spiders are outside who cares, but if they are inside I am terrified of them.

Me, too - with the spiders. Flying bugs are cool, unless they're HUGE.

What scares me? Dying alone! :(

Me here, too.

Seriously: Failure, God and the IRS.

Namely, failure; waking up one day on a park bench.

God, no - just in awe of the power. Failure, of course, because success must have a reverse - it's a Zen thing for me.

But, finally, I'm afraid that I cannot change my life and become independent, financially. This is the main instigator for me getting an Accounting degree.
