What Scares You?

I used to live in NW Washington State....
Who knew SE Washingon State was even inhabited???

Pfft...where do you think the apples you ate came from? :)

Cool ! The Albino Ones ? . . . about 2 - 3'' long, right ?

Yup! Those would be the ones. I actually started my college career with the thoughts of studying forensic entomology (using bugs at a crime scene) but in one of my classes we had to do something with live centipedes. Needless to say, that ended that career track.

I have a seriose spider phobia, though it has gotten better over the years. There is something about how they crawl that really makes my skin crawl. That possibility that they are going to jump on me. A fear of hights as well, ladders, roof tops, rollor coasters ect.

Bees & Wasps...

It's not like that's the only place apples come from in this country. ;)

Exactly, D-rock ;)

But I do stand corrected (somewhat).
Columbia County in SE Washington state does have a whopping 4064 residents. But I'm pretty sure that includes the centipedes ;)

That most audible whine that I hear in the darkness while in bed at night.

That I might become reincarnated into a spider only to later become discovered, stung (paralyzed) and captured by the Mud Dauber Wasp.
She'd airlift my lifeless "arachnidious" body to a mud formed capsule, all the while, I'm fully conscious of what's going on ! She deposits me inside the capsule, amongst some of my spider neighbors, also paralyzed ! The only purpose of our living at this point is to incubate her rapidly growing pupa immediately to my starboard (right side).
Again, allow me to reiterate that we all appear as lifeless spiders, but we're all very much alive and aware what's happening. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that there is another purpose for us being forced into this dark capsule . . It works out that that flying clown faced bitch "only" paralyzes us, as opposed to killing us, because we must remain fresh eating for her maturing pupa. Our deaths are imminent and we have about 3 weeks to contemplate that we'll eventually be eaten alive.

So fuck you if you think that YOU have troubles ! :thefinger  ;)

Organpipe mud dauber nests are partitioned off with mud and each cell is provisioned with several paralyzed spiders and implanted with an egg. After eggs hatch, larvae feed on captured spiders with larvae maturing in about three weeks.

I think you've watched "Aliens" one too many times :1orglaugh

I'm pretty much scared of all bugs that don't fly and some that do fly. The flying bugs I'm scared of are any sort of hornet or wasp other than a honeybee or bumblebee. I'm scared of the bugs that don't fly, because sometimes they are hard to get off of you once they're on you. Flying bugs are generally easy to get off of you just by moving. I'm also scared of heights.

and Des Moines :nono:

I have trouble swimming into deep water where you can't see the bottom of the basin. but you know it's 80, 90 + feet below you. Water skiing in Lake Tahoe for example - It's sorta creepy skiing over the black blue water depths.

I always think of sharks in fresh water lol !

Dont take this as a smart ass answer but...whats the difference in 10 feet of water compared to 1000 feet...you still cant touch and have to swim, I actually used this analogy in a water rescue training session where a candidate freaked when he asked how deep the water was (100+)

My fear...SPIDERS and extremely...I have to leave the house and my wife calls me back when its disposed of
