Unless you're doing something illegal or unethical you're unlikely to ever make that sort of money by working, my philosophy is working hard will only pay enough to cover the basics like food, clothes and rent/low mortgage etc, you need a lotto or sports bet win in you wanna buy a home outright or things like fancy cars, exotic holidays and decent possessions like jewellary and electronic gadgets etc. It's sad when you need a lotto win just to cover the basic living expenses, I work for myself and always cover my basic expenses with enough left over for blurays or video games etc but I still do a few quid on the lotto or the occassional football (soccer) bet every week as all it takes is a bit of luck and you could end up being able to buy your own home outright and not have to live with family or squander money on rent or absurdly high mortgage payments as it's virtually impossible for anyone to buy a home now, especially in London where I live when even a flat in a dire area will cost at least £250k ($380k). I know people who took out stupidly high interest only mortages and they work like dogs to just cover the interest without actually paying off any of the mortgage, they ultimately have no choice as the bank will take their home if they fall behind on payments and they can't even get out of it by selling up as they won't get anywhere near the money they spent on the property back (falling house prices) so they could sell their home and still owe the bank money for it.
