Agreed Nikki, I see how there is pressure on you girls to say thank you (some posters have even complained when they don't get a "thanks" not understanding you girls are busy and have lives too). The board is the same thing every day "I voted for so and so" and "Thank You". That's why I haven't been posting. I still look in every few days, but there's not really anything to reply to and if we try and shift the topics, people complain that the thread is solely for the purpose of "campaigning" (as it's been called). I thought it was fun when we were all talking about a bunch of things aside from just the contest, but some people didn't like other topics being discussed.

Just a few thoughts here on the D-Rock rant.
Since Freeones is putting up the $15,000 I think they are entitled to some publicity and if the traffic numbers to the website increase more power to them. The girls draw added traffic to this website so In my opinion they have every right to promote themselves and ask for votes. I agree that at times seeing voting list after voting list and scores of thank yous can get tiresome but nobody has a gun to anyones head making them read the posts....we can log out whenever we please.

D-Rock has good point, but it doesn't really matter how people post or vote. Also I can't speak for everyone else but i post my votes to help promote the contestants. People who lurk in this thread scroll down and see the same name over and over and it influences their decision for the empty spots in their top ten. Bree Olson has also been answering questions in her own thread and posting here alot so i wouldn't say shes undeserving. Who are we to say who doesn't deserve to win? Promotion, brown nosing, manipulation, and mobilization are a given and it's just the way things work.

not everyone has listed who's in their list of daily votes so i think drock's gone a little ott if u ask me. we have been invited to discuss the competition & interaction with the competitors is inevitable. so is the thorny topic of campaigning.
personally i feel i have benefitted by participating in this thread. i've always been loathe to look beyond what i would term my "favourites". this has opened my eyes to the cracking new talent out there. i'd never heard of the likes of jane burgess, rebekah dee, or rebecca jessop (sorry if i have not mentioned the others but just trying to make a point) but now i have i am more likely to look to join their respective websites.
basically it's about self promotion but is that a crime?
incidentally i think whoever ends up winning the competition will have deserved it.

Promotion is the whole point. Freeones has put up money to get themselves more web traffic and the girls are here to attract fans to their websites and such. It's capitalism at work and there is nothing wrong with that. The adult industry is a business just like any other and success or failure boils down to keeping the customer satisfied. Im not even going to address the whole "deserving" issue because it can simply never be resolved. You might as well argue over which type of music is best.

I know Miss Hybrid has been just amazing in this contest but has anyone noticed the nice gain that Diana Doll has made? I think she entered less than a week ago and has only a few posts to her credit so far. No telling what she might have accomplished had she campaigned hard from the get-go.

i also think the negativity on this thread is disappointing. yes, bree olson may not be everyone's cup of tea (a saying we have here in the uk) but the fact that she's been in 1st or 2nd is proof she has a strong following & she will get votes regardless of how many posts she makes.....fact. get over it.

There is a simple solution for folks who don't like the way the results are going. Take $15,000 out of the bank and host your own contest. If you don't like Bree Olson or anyone else for that matter just don't let them enter.
