I just don't understand how proud Americans never seem to be proud of being American. You all want to being something else. I just find it odd. I'm not having a go at you, just americans in general.
I've probably been to Sicily more times than you've had hot dinners... but I'm English and proud of it (and you can trace my bloodline back to the year 1043 if you want proof)
My family is technically from England originally (Like hundreds of years back), but I consider myself 100% Canadian. But with Mariah Milano, it's more a race then a culture. I mean if I were black, I would say that's what I am along with my race (hence African American). So I see nothing wrong with her saying she is Sicilian (though wouldn't it be Italian-American? I could be wrong).
I didn't read the rest of this debate before I commented so maybe it was already decided whats correct, I just got excited because there was a new topic to discuss and replied right away lol
