I agree with your first part. It's unbelievable how this contest could be compared in any way, shape or form to the Haitian disaster.

The second part, I don't think the vote is wasted. Like someone said, Hybrid (I think) climbed from the late 100's to in the top 100. Jane Burgess has made a major push too. But my only question is why would you vote someone who is at #60 to get to #50 if you like the person who is in 100th place at the moment more?

For example I would rather move Rebecca Jessop up a few places from #73 to even #65 because she seems like a cool girl and has been friendly since I first saw her on here. She might not make top 50, but she still finished in a decent place. Whereas I have no reason to give my vote to Vanilla DeVille (for example) who is in 57th. I've never heard of her, nor have I seen her post here.

I don't know if that made sense, but I was happy to see a different discussion on the boards for a change so I had to contribute I don't really have an urge to post my votes anymore, I vote for the same 8 every day, it's not going to change.

Also, does anyone know how many votes we get in round 2? I heard five but I'm not sure if that's correct.
