To me, the dollar amount is irrelevant. When a person with a huge fan following puts themself out there and endorses a worthy cause, that can have great benefits for the organization being endorsed.
Since Bree Olson is a pornstar, the SPCA probably doesn't care about an endorsement from her, but would they turn down an endorsement from Oprah because she only gave x dollars instead of y? Not bloody likely.
That's one perspective...there are others.
