Just accept it: Germany will win this tournament.
Maybe not if they play as bad as they did yesterday...
You'd better wait to have seen all teams -and particulary Spain- before saying such things.

Italy looked good in the 1 - 1 draw with Spain, maybe not being tournament favourites has lifted the pressure off of them and allowed them to play more freely

Spain 1-1 Italy
Fernando Torres was guilty of spurning two golden chances as Italy unearthed a performance of real character to hold Spain to a 1-1 draw at the PGE Arena in Gdansk.

If Robben learns to play in a team and Van Persie just learns to play (or stays on te bench while Huntelaar is the striker), Netherlands may have a chance against Germany

What a nice football night: Holland first lost thanks to themselves with slow and non efficient play, and then Germany just won over Portugal who played a damn good match and should at least deserve a drawl.
You can't be serious !

What I learned after tonight: the Dutch coach Van Marwijk has a lot of work before Holland can compete with the other countries in this group. If they continue playing as they did tonight against Danmark, they will end up last in their group. When their play is not going to be any better they won't win from this Germany and Portugal I saw playing later on this evening.
Portugal is crap !
Coentrao and Pepe did quite good. Everytyone else didn't
Portugal is easy to neutralise : Don't let the ball reach Ronaldo's feet. Once you did that, Portugal isn't dangerous anymore. Only Ronaldo can score all the other strikers (Postiga, Almeida, Nelson) are crap

About Germany, Hummels and Neuer did pretty good job. Khedira, Gomez and Boateng were quite good. Ozil was terrible. Muller was invisible. Everyone else was decent.
Germany won't win the Euro if they play this way, they won't win the Euro without Muller, Schweinstiger or Ozil playing better than they did against Portugal. Gotze could also be on the pitch. Anyway, Germany needs one of its offensive mdfielders to rule the midfield.

Next game : France VS England. I don't think France could win this game, even without Rooney for England. France's attack is good but the defense is terrible...

Republic of Ireland face an uphill battle to reach the Euro 2012 quarter-finals after being outclassed 3-1 by Croatia in their Group C opener at the Stadion Miejski in Poznan.

Ireland where always going to struggle, there best chance was against Croatia but they gave away 2 sloppy goals, the third was extremely unlucky. England are also going to struggle I think, I'm hoping for a win obviously, but I feel a draw would be a good result. Either way the one team England have to beat is Sweden which will be tough.

Also I would like to point out that in most major tournaments the first games are often boring and pretty stale. Teams normally pick there games up in the 2nd and 3rd matches, So while no teams ( apart from Russia ) have looked very good, I don't think we should read to much into it.

If I am not mistaken, England made an historic game. The comentator said they never managed to win a first game in an EM tournament.

Maybe thT is why they kind of put up with the 1:1

Is somewhere outhere.
I thought England had a decent game today considering they were the underdogs, and kind of felt happy for them
that they had some success. But I think they badly missed Rooney up front,as they didn't look like scoring.Hopefully
they will be a bit more adventurous against Sweden, and go for the jugular as the goals they lossed against Ukraine
tonight were sloppy.

As for tommorrows games I'm going for a Greece & Russia win.

If the rest of our troop will wakeup ( Lahm , Müller, +co ) , if Schweinsteiger finds back to full performance, we should have a real chance against the Netherlands, ...they MUST win it or they are in serious problems ...:D

Greece v Czech Republic

6 minutes in the game, and already the Czechs lead with 2 goals vs. zero for the Greeks.

Looks like this will be a great match :surprise:

Spirited Poland hold Russia

A wonder goal from Jakub Blaszczykowski gave Euro 2012 co-hosts Poland a 1-1 Group A draw with Russia in a feisty, entertaining clash at Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
