TNA Knockout Involved In Car Accident

Velvet Sky was unable to attend her scheduled autograph signing in Newburgh, New York this past Saturday as she was involved in a car accident.

The TNA Knockout wrote the following note on her MySpace account on Sunday: "Sorry to all the fans who came to see me at Orange County Choppers yesterday. I got in a car accident on the way there. I'm ok. my truck is a dfferent story."

More On The All-TNA Knockouts iMPACT! Tapings.

As noted earlier, TNA will be taping an all-Knockouts edition of iMPACT! this Monday in Orlando.

The episode is expected to air on New Year's Eve as the TNA website released the following announcement yesterday: "On New Years Eve, TNA Wrestling presents a special FOUR HOUR New Years Knockout Eve "iMPACT! broadcast, featuring the top matches of 2009 (as voted by the fans!) as well as the sexy TNA Knockouts in action!

Christy Hemme Announces Her Retirement From Pro Wrestling

PWInsider.com is reporting that Christy Hemme has announced, via podcast, that she has retired from in-ring wrestling. She stated that she would remain affiliated with TNA, however her days as an in-ring wrestler are over. Hemme said that she feared re-injuring her neck during a Knockouts tag team match several weeks ago, and therefore has decided to hang up the boots.

CM Punk Blasts Hulk Hogan & Says He Has No Faith in Him

CM Punk was the guest on the BJ Shea Morning Experience Radio Show, which broadcasts out of Seattle, earlier today. During the interview, Punk had the following to say about Hulk Hogan and TNA: "My take is first of all that we have Tribute to the Troops on Saturday..." Punk said. "That's probably going to be a much better show than whatever that TNA is going to put on. I have a lot of friends that work there and I do watch the show, but I seem to watch it on perpetual fast forward."

"I hope, I really hope that something comes of it. I have zero faith in Hulk Hogan as a man who is what 60 years-old and tries to dress like he's 18 and lives on the Jersey Shore. For a guy I've never met, I've formulated enough opinions about him just from being around him and like his business acumen and stuff like that, I really trust that he's not in this for TNA and he's not in this for the business. He's in this for himself."

Lauren Brooke Leaving TNA

TNA’s backstage interviewer extraordinaire, Lauren Brooke is set to leave the company reports ProWrestling.net. Brooke is due to be married and reportedly wants to move on from the company to enjoy marital bliss.

Meanwhile, in a case of good timing, Christy Hemme debuted last week as the latest backstage interviewer after opting to retire from the ring.

It’s sad to see Lauren leave TNA as she wasn’t your average blonde interview like her predecessors Crystal and err, that other one. She injected personality into her role and her work with The Beautiful People has been great. Good luck to her!

Roxxi Returns To TNA Wrestling Last Night

As seen last night on iMPACT!, Nicole Raczynski returned to TNA as Roxxi, defeating Women's Knockout Champion ODB in a non-title match. Afterwards, she was assaulted by ODB, with her signature flask, before being saved by Tara.

Raczynski was released from her TNA contract this past April while serving a 60-day suspension following a backstage altercation with Rhaka Khan. Regarding her hiatus from the organization, she said in her pre-match promo that she had been competing in fitness competitions and wrestling in Mexico during her time away, which is indeed true.

EXCLUSIVE: TNA To Make Major Set Changes

Over the last few weeks we've been hearing about a major overhaul of the TNA 'iMPACT! Zone' in Orlando, FL. We have been holding off on reporting anything until we could get further confirmation.

We've been told that Eric Bischoff's production company is the contractor logged in to oversee the overhaul. TNA has to notify lease agents, insurers and park officials of any construction activities because they can interrupt the filming of other productions on the lot.

We would expect a brand new set to debut on the January 4th TNA iMPACT!. There are also rumors about the six-sided ring being replaced by a 20 x 20 ring although we can't confirm that. We've sent off several emails and have not heard back just yet. Hulk Hogan has also said numerous times that he's not a fan of the six-sided ring.

We hope to have more information in the coming days. Stay tuned.

Conflicting Stories On Booker T - WWE Or TNA?

There are conflicting reports regarding Booker T's future in the wrestling industry. Last week, we were told that negotiations between T and World Wrestling Entertainment had fallen through. However, he's now telling friends he's returning to WWE to compete on RAW. There was even one rumor at one point that he was going to talk to TNA about getting his spot back. We'll keep you posted as we just don't know right now and would rather not speculate.

Report: Tommy Dreamer Leaving WWE - TNA Future?

The word going around WWE is that Tommy Dreamer will be departing the company. Dreamer had signed a new deal last summer, but the word going around the ECW/Smackdown tapings last night was that Dreamer had asked for his release.

Dreamer has been with WWE since 2001, working both as a performer and also holding other responsibilities in the company.

We would not be shocked to see him show up in TNA at some point.

Updated Report: Tommy Dreamer Was Frustrated In WWE

As noted earlier, numerous sources within World Wrestling Entertainment have confirmed that Tommy Dreamer is parting ways with the company. The word going around among talent at last night's SmackDown/ECW taping in Miami was that Dreamer had requested his release from the company. As noted earlier, "The ECW Original" has been with WWE since July 2001, working both as a wrestler and also holding other responsibilities within the company. He did work last night's ECW taping, facing Zack Ryder.

We obviously can't confirm this just yet but it's very possible he'll wind up in TNA at some point. We reported several months ago that there was a reason that Dreamer wasn't appearing on ECW. TNAWrestlingNews.com can also exclusively report that Dreamer was said to have been very frustrated for quite some time now in WWE.

Backstage News On Sheik Abdul Bashir's TNA Release

As noted late last night here on the website, Sheik Abdul Bashir's (Shawn Daivari) TNA release is legit. For what it's worth, we can confirm that Shawn was telling people backstage last night that he requested his release from the company.

TNA management on the other hand said it was their decision to release him and that it had been coming for some time now.

TNA Knockout Lacey Von Erich, who had been selling ring-worn items and autographed photos on eBay, was booted from the online auction and shopping website on Monday. Her previously registered account now reads: "Not a registered user."

Sheik Abdul Bashir's profile has been removed from the roster section of the official TNA website.

The Young Bucks: Could We See Another Young Tag Team in TNA?

It appears that there is a new tag team that could be making their way into TNA.

The Young Bucks are a hot young tag team that has most recently been involved within ROH. Matt and Nick Massie (who go by Matt and Nick Jackson in the ring) are from Southern California and have had a lifelong love of wrestling.

With Nick weighing 178 lbs, and Matt weighing 172 lbs, they are not large men but they are very athletic high-fliers.

How Did The Young Bucks TNA Tryout Go?

The Young Bucks had their TNA tryout earlier tonight at the TNA New Year's Knockout Eve TV taping. They worked a match against The Motor City Machineguns. The match was said to be filled with insane spots and TNA management was very impressed. There was praise backstage before they even came in. I'd expect them to be signed in the very near future as TNA management was very happy with their match tonight.

Jeremy Borash posted the following on his Facebook account: "Watching Young Bucks vs Machine Guns in the ring in Orlando. Wow."

Backstage News: Lacey Von Erich's TNA Future

-- TNA posted a holiday themed shoot featuring Taylor Wilde and Daffney on its website today, but was pulled shortly thereafter.

-- Lacey Von Erich could soon find her way out of TNA Wrestling. The second generation performer is on "thin ice" with management. Officials have apparently thrown in the towel on Angelina Love's successor as she has been resistant to suggestions to further her formal wrestling training not to mention her perceived negative attitude has been a source of contention among many in the company.
