I did not question that it was a major military achievement. I simply typed - in essence - that for you to call it the greatest military achievement of all time then you would have to be aware of all time. And since you are not (I assume), then you cannot, accurately.
Also. I imagine there maybe veterans of various military battles that may read that post of yours an take issue with it. Possibly feeling that what they or their unit did was the greatest military achievement in history.
No biggie though.

I have to agree with McRocket. It would be a stretch to say it's the greatest achievement in military history. I think it's highly overrated myself. If I were to list, in my opinion, the greatest military achievements in history for a single battle it would be a toss up between The Battle of Cannae and The Battle of Thermopylae. For a campaign it would be what Hannibal did during the Second Punic War, and for an entire war I would have to say it would be the taking over of a huge chunk of the known world by Genghis Khan and the Mongols. The Six Day War pales in comparison.
