I am glad you are asking seriously. That’s a subject that had bothered me but I never really thought enough about it to be clear. I just fear to be too long for this thread. For now I’ll just say this : Believe it or not, I actually would prefer fake story and bad acting... (up to a certain point). For example, Italians do porn movies with stories and acting that are not that bad. Europeans in general are O.K. at that. Brad Armstrong did some pretty nice movies for Wicked and the acting was not thad bad either, some even surprising (CROSSROADS is a good example). But a lot of time, it was simply non-connected individual scenes with little set-ups that were leading you to the sex scenes. Some were funny (there was a lot of comedy in that type of films) but most were not that good and some were really bad. But you have bad gonzo too and to make things worst, I will add : I even prefer bad little stories to good gonzo.
