I don't know what army is the best, but I know that the Turkish army, if necessary is by far the strongest in the world. That's why the US is keeping to support them to join the EU.

Maybe the Israeli Army. They've fought several nations at once, and came out victorious. Also, I'd disagree with ranking the Cambodian Army ahead of the Vietnamese army, because of the Vietnamese invaded Cambodia in the 70s to oust the Khmer Rouge.

I don't know about the Red Army being the best, but there's an old commie saying "Quantity has a quality all it's own". (Something like that).

Anyway, to put it mildly, the Finns' certainly gave them a run for their money.

After their experiences in Kashmir the Indian army is the best in mountain warfare. So much so that the west sent their soldiers off to be trained by them before they were deployed for mountain combat in Afghanistan.
