Is somewhere outhere.
I think Dunga saved his ass by switching formation and getting the
early goal shfted the whole momentum back to Brazil.

But it was an entertaining game and we get more of the same next year :thefinger

We Americans need to get off this "Soccer Sucks" trip that a lot of people seems to have. It seems to be a generation difference. I'm 25, a lot of people my age were involved with youth soccer when they were kids. It's the first sports you can play at an early age. So, I think there is a new generation of soccer fans. I have more conversations about Soccer than I do Baseball. I cant remember the last time I watched or talked about baseball with someone. The O's suck, so that might have something to do about it.

My biggest peeve is Americans calling soccer boring. If you can watch a baseball game you can watch a fucking soccer game. Watching baseball on TV is dreadful. LLWS kicks ass though.

A. Soccer Sucks!

B. USA sucks!

C. Confed sucks!

D. Life sucks!

real great crowd we have here. Last time I checked you still had the freedom to not watch it if you don't like it. what's with all this negativity?

I'm just glad that Brazil sent the US back to reality. We will never be competitive in these international tournaments. We just don't care enough about the sport.

Maybe when our best athleats start playing soccer I'll be interested, but thier not. I'm just glad it's over.

Competitive? Um, we were in the Championship game. We put 2 on the board against Brazil's #1 team, something nobody does in any competition or friendly or exhibition or whatever match. I think that's pretty competitive. We made the Rd of 16 and eliminated Mexico in the 2002 World Cup. The US is competitive--but not deep or experienced enough to go 90 min with the elite teams yet.

Why does Soccer need to surpass the NFL as #1 sport? Who said that that will happen or that Americans would want that to happen?:dunno:

The U.S. Soccer movement doesn't need 1million fans. We just need 200k crazies. I think I'd rather go to a place like Paris, London, or Spain to watch the US play soccer than go to Buffalo and watch the Texans v Bills:dunno:

I think you have enough of a brain to actually "get" soccer if you wanted to. Maybe someday you will get it and follow it along with all the other things that we all follow.

I've never gotten this incredible hatred for the sport of "soccer." Maybe if the goals would count by 6 people would watch :dunno:? It is what it is though. It will never ever ever make it big in the States. There are way too many options here.
