Mitch McConnell says the labor shortage will be solved when people run out of stimulus money because Americans are 'flush for the moment'
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/mar...americans-are-flush-for-the-moment/ar-AAZesBa

Wow. I can understand that there might be some out there riding the gravy train, but what a horribly generalized throwing of shade on the work ethic of Americans.

Just imagine if a non-American made that comment. mitch would be the first in line to have a fit.

I know Mitch makes perfect sense. I'm sure all those people are resisting going to work from that gigantically massive 1,400 dollar check they got a year and a half ago. That's a maybe a whole whopping months rent in some places. I'm sure it has nothing to do with them not wanting to go to a job where they get treated like dogshit, get plaid near poverty level wages, and receive lousy benefits.

"Why doesn't anybody want to work anymore?"

Next thing you know those ungrateful millennials will having the audacity to blame people like Mitch for ruing the economy for most people and their lives. If only those stimulus checks could have been transformed into more tax breaks for the rich we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

I wouldn't be very sad if everyone at Fox News choked on all the bullshit they spew.

The Republicans are again confused by history. First, Trump wanted loyalty like the German Generals from the US military. (Not knowing they plotted a few assassination attempts against Hitler.) Now, certain prominent House members accuse the FBI of acting like the Gestapo. (Not knowing that the Gestapo did a lot more than execute lawfully issued search warrants.)

They should learn some real history about the Third Reich.

Back to this again ... (We've heard enough of this stupid rhetoric already)

https://news.yahoo.com/sarah-palins-election-loss-sen-142451494.html

The Republican senator from Arkansas Tom Cotton is calling the Alaska system for elections rigged and prone to scams.

So many Republicans are weighing in on his comments. From Adam Kinzinger, to Justin Amash to Michael Steele. Seems Tom Cotton is wrong again.

A fringe Republican candidate for the Florida state house would promote killing IRS, FBI, and ATF agents “on sight”.

“Let freedom ring”

They should audit him and his relatives for twelve straight years. That would fix his wagon.

That didn’t take long. The rhetoric is getting way too predictable. In Colorado the loony R Secretary of State candidate (Tina Peters) got shellacked in the primary, screamed rigged, and then paid ~$250k for a recount. Peters and the winner each picked up 13 extra votes. The initial margin of 88,578 was verified.

At least Sarah gets a do-over in November.

It's pretty telling when a political party doesn't want all the adult citizens of it's country to vote, because they know they will lose. It goes to proving they are a minority party, they know they are a minority party, and most of the people don't like them. That is why the Republicans have come up with neo-Jim Crow laws to make it harder to vote, because they know the bigger percentage of people that vote the more likelihood they would lose.
