>>>The Republican Party Is The Problem

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I used to think that Democrats were The Devil, until I got recruited by a group of "pro-life" activists, around 1993. Their sole issue, to the exclusion of everything else was working to end Roe. Economics, foreign policy, whatever, did not matter one bit as long as the official position of whoever was, "pro-life" they were for that person and against everything pro-choice. Scary shit, I just kinda quietly moved on after attending a couple of meetings, but it opened my eyes to the realities of that movement, and that going on thirty years ago. Those folks have only gotten worse in their tactics since.
Well yeah, a problem generally never fixes itself. It just gets worse over time. I just think the people we pay, spend more time on vacation, and fucking with each other, then serving the people that pay them. I don't see much in the way of concern for the good of everyone, as opposed to the good for who and what they see as good.

I got Buck, Hickenlooper, and Bennet. They all have varying degrees of utility.

Herschel Walker is a legitimate candidate for the Senate? From the state which brought us Marjorie Taylor Greene:

When asked about gun control:
“Well, you know, it’s always been an issue, because as I said earlier on, they wanna score political points ... People see that it’s a person wielding that weapon, you know, Cain killed Abel. And that’s the problem that we have. And I said, what we need to do is look into how we can stop those things.

“You talk about doing a disinformation. What about getting a department that can look at young men that’s looking at women, that’s looking at their social media? What about doing that, looking into things like that, and we can stop that that way?”

Does anybody else find it hilarious that Republicans all of a sudden care about mental health...a subject they want to do absolutely nothing to actually help people out with that. It's almost like that would require people to actually have good health care or some such . At least that's the least lame excuse they have come up with out of the many number of them for school shootings.

It's funny watching them contort themselves into near impossible levels of mental gymnastics to blame anything and everything, but that actual cases of things that plague our country.

Greg Abbott is probably faking an illness to get sympathy support/votes.
Republicans only care about mental health when there is a mass shooting.
Since the shooting in Texas, the center of gun ideology, and the most tragic mass shooting since Sandy Hook, gun and ammo sales will spike again for the 100th+ time.
Republican gun lovers will once again have delusions that Democrats will take away their right to buy guns, and stock up on ammo and guns.

I am in America, not of it.
Realistically the Trumpistas will only care about school shootings when the place is Sidwell Friends or some other wealthy peoples school is the target. Until then, who cares.

Trans teen needed help from a hospital after a suicide attempt. Instead they reported his parents.

A lawsuit demands the state stop persecuting supportive parents with false allegations and costly investigations.

On Wednesday, the American Civil Liberties Union and Lambda Legal filed a lawsuit on behalf of three families challenging Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s recent call for the state’s Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate parents who provide gender-affirming healthcare to transgender kids, and to block the state from investigating members of PFLAG.

The lawsuit cites a particularly disturbing case in which a transgender boy whose family was reported to the state’s DFPS by hospital staff after he was admitted for attempting suicide after he took a bottle of aspirin.
According to the lawsuit, 16-year-old Antonio Voe “said that the political environment, including Abbott’s Letter, and being misgendered at school, led him to take these actions.” When hospital staff learned he had been receiving hormone therapy, they reported his family to the DFPS.

As the Texas Tribune reports, nine Texas families are currently under investigation for providing gender-affirming care to their children. One family named in the lawsuit has been outspoken in their opposition to Abbott’s directive.

In April last year, Amber Briggle, the mother of a transgender boy, testified before the Texas legislature against S.B. 1646, which would have redefined child abuse under state law to include “consenting to or assisting in the administering or supplying of, a puberty suppression prescription drug or cross-sex hormone to a child,” as well as other gender-affirming health care procedures.
I’m terrified to be here today,” Briggle told the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs. “I’m afraid that by speaking here today that my words will be used against me should S.B. 1646 or S.B. 1311 pass, and my sweet son whom I love more than life itself will be taken from me.”
If this bill becomes law, that, senators, is child abuse,” she concluded. “And I promise I will call every single one of you every time a transgender child dies from suicide to remind you that their lives could have been saved, but you chose not to.”
S.B. 1646 and S.B. 1311 were later defeated, but DFPS investigations of the families of trans youth have continued.

For nearly 50 years, PFLAG parents have united against government efforts to harm their LGBTQ+ kids,” PFLAG National executive director Brian K. Bond told the Tribune. “By going after trans kids and their families, Gov. Abbott has picked a fight with thousands of families in Texas and across the country who are united as members of PFLAG National.”

In February, Abbott issued a letter to state agencies directing them to report the parents of transgender children for supposed child abuse after Texas attorney general Ken Paxton issued a non-binding opinion stating that gender affirming health care for transgender youth is a form of child abuse.

How dare parents support their kids when they're going throught difficult times ?! texas won't let that happen !

Gender affirming treatment is not something you take lightly. You don't wake up one morning, decide to take a few pills and grow a pair of boobs, just for fun. It is a long and difficult road, strewn with pitfalls. It is a treatment that will change you and your life forever.

First, even before starting the treatment, you will have to pass a whole bunch of tests, analyses, evaluations (including psychological ones) aimed at determining if you really need this treatment, verifying that it is not a temporary fad, of a phase, of a tanned moment effect of puberty or adolescence or even if this desire for a sex change does not hide a deeper malaise. It is also a question of checking if you are able to follow this treatment, if you are not suffering from an affection incompatible with this one. You will also have to be followed by a healthcare provider who's role is too help you at every step of the treatment, provide some advices, make sure everything's going as usual and sound the alarm if it seems something's not right, something starting to go off track
And even when everything's Ok, this ain't no walk in the park : Hormones have a strong impact on one's psychology, physiology, physical aspect, etc.

I know, some of our conservative friends might say that, with all the LGBTQ propaganda, teens and and encouraged to feel they identify differently from their biological gender. 1) There's no such thing as "LGBTQ propaganda", nobody's telling teens they should be gay or trans. They're simply told that being gay or trans if OK, that this doesn't make you some kind of freak and that they shouldn't treat those who are gay or trans as freaks.
2) The evaluations one has to go through before starting the treatment are there to identify those who might wanna go through that for the wrong reasons, those who are just looking for attention, those who do it to piss off their parents, those who are there 'cause they've been led to think they identify different from their biological gender rather than actually feel in their guts they actually are different from the gender they were born with

Texas Paul REACTS to Lauren Boebert’s Secret Off-Roading Accident COVER-UP - June 13, 2022

Some day Trump will be gone from this world, but the stench of him and the stain on the souls of his enablers will be eternal. Nothing will ever be able to wash it off. It will be remembered beyond even their deaths.

As religious as some of them claim to be they I think they better hope their so called beliefs are not real after all, for their sake.
