I mean, look at Chuck Schumer on the AIG bonuses. Punitive taxation? Is this fucker for real? Wanting to tax AIG bonuses at a 95% rate not to raise government revenue (i.e. the real porpose of taxes), but as a punitive measure.

It falls into this category because its forced upon us. Its not a choice like it should be. I guess you can chose not to wear it, but if you get caught, and I have, you pay a fuckin bullshit fine.

I was watching REAL TV last night and they had the usual cop chase em ups on, anyway, the feature involved a great big African American cop. The guy was one of those big offensive lineman sized guys close to 300 lbs. What made him special was that he was really a fun loving jovial kind of guy, but don't be f'en up and crossing his path !
So, he pulls over this African American kid for running a stop sign and the big ol fella officer walks up and asks said motorist a few questions until finally, he orders the kid out of the vehicle.
The kid gets out and his pants were hangin' clear down to his ankles . . . . I guess . . . on purpose :dunno: beats the hell outta me
So the idea that the cops have tell some of these hoodlums to please make sure that their pants are up when they're driving a car would seem to be a contributor for / as "The Pussification of America".
Don't these punks know that they're simulating a submissive "rape me jail boy look"
?

Again if you sign a waiver, you are free to choose in my book I could care less about the revenue enhancement. But I am not interested in paying your medicals bills or increases in my medical or car insurance premiums.
Strange to say and seriously, but I got hit in the head at 8 years old by one of those, spent the night in the hospital, recovered fine, but it sure hurt allot.
That was in the 70's though.

We had a set of those too. Looking back, throwing giant 3 pound darts around the yard seemed kinda scary to me at the time. And really stupid now. Maybe it's not in the pussification category, but more in the "Boy, weren't they stupid back then" category. Like the flagman standing on the track at the Indy 500, helmetless hockey goaltenders, and leaving your lite-brite parts laying entangled in the shag carpet.
