You came in here to "bring her down to earth"... by sticking up for someone who insulted her, and by extension supporting those insults and the involved behavior. So, in essence, you came in here to insult her.
Just lemme check mah facts here...
Getting support on Twitter where someone clicks one button to support you? Valid and an expression of popularity/value. Check.
Getting support on FreeOnes where people actually take the time to interact with you? Inflating Ego and not an expression of popularity/value. Check.
Currently being first in the category? An expression of popularity/value. Check.
Currently being second in the category? Probably a fluke. Check.
First off, either way it's insulting. Insulting someone's body of work as opposed to the person themselves still isn't exactly a... shall we say "non-bitchy"... thing to do. Especially when that someone isn't being supported by an army of people and basically has to do all of the work themselves. Christy Mack has the people of Bang Bros and Brazzers (and probably others... I had to Google to figure out where she's been and those two popped up first) supporting her, which last I checked are fairly large names.
Second, one girl is independent while the other is industry backed. If you're going to focus only on the absolute mainstream why even have the contest open to others? May as well require agent/company submitted entries with an attached fee. Heck, why not skip the girls entirely and just give the titles to the corporations?
Third, as far as the size of their fanbases, you can't judge either way (no, shit like Twitter doesn't work and isn't accurate... it's also shit). Beyond that, you're suggesting that having more content should be an advantage in the Best Newcomer category? Shouldn't the entire point of that particular category be to reward someone who is new and doesn't have much content yet shows promise and can use it as a springboard to gain exposure and do bigger and better things as opposed to simply tossing it at a girl who's backed by faceless industry and already has a huge body of work and thus, really, doesn't seem like much of a "newcomer"?

You might want to remember, regarding this topic, that it's by her, devoted to her, aimed at getting her fans to vote for her in a specific category. So yeah, of course this thread is going to be mainly positive. It's filled with her fans. Oh, and for some reason you. That doesn't exactly make this thread indicative of the entire board, and I've seen Jaana take some heat here because she actually, you know, tends to speak her mind and interact with the people like an actual human being as opposed to some consistently hyper-flirty caricature of the typical male fantasy.

If you don't like it, keep voting for other people! But you don't get to dictate who votes for Jaana, and you don't get to dictate WHY they voted for her.
Basing someones worth in this industry off their twitter follower count is ABSURD.
I know girls who are far more successful and lucrative than me with LESS followers, just like I know girls who struggle a shitload in this industry and have MORE followers than me.
It's not just about how many fans a girl has, it's about the QUALITY of fans she has. And Jaana has earned her fans, and nobody has a right to tell her she hasn't.

I think MeFree1z is right- it's hard work asking all of your fans on Twitter to fraudulently vote for you as much as possible. Christy Mack definitely seems to have worked damn hard to try and screw the voting system and swindle the contest. She sure deserves a title....but Best Newcomer ain't it. I guess now everybody knows how she came out of nowhere to be leading in Best Newcomer AND Miss FreeOnes, right?

Okay Jaana, now that you've cleaned your brains up after exploding in your room (you really should work on the rest of that room though) let's put this all into perspective. You started your venture into the business just a few months ago. You are getting attention. Not the kind that you wanted but now you are now on the radar. You are not insignificant anymore. Think about it. You have been thrursted into the part of being a player by those that discount you. Take advantage of their mistake. If you had a game plan about how you you wanted your career to go the time to put it into place is now. Round 3. Pull out the big guns.
You've got support from very smart people in this business. Jane Burgess has been hammering in this business more than 10 years. Harley Spencer came out of nowhere a year or 2 ago to establish herself as a dynamic personality (although she can be a bitch). Maggie Green is still a top draw for people that she hasn't worked for in years. You may not realize it but you're entering the big show now. Open up and show that you belong there.
