the raiders are good for the lions cus no matter how much we stink we can count on oakland being the laughing stock of the nfl

Yeah but no one expects the Lions to win. The Raiders were (up until recently) always considered a contender.
Plus...the Lions don't have the words "COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE" emblazoned all over the stadium.

The Lions will be much improved this year and go 7-9. They win the division in 2011.
I'm hearing that Russell will eclipse Leaf based on money paid versus wins.
Russell only won 7 games. Granted...everyone else on his team is also shit whereas I think Leaf had a decent team to work with.

With the exception of Peyton Manning and maybe Matt Hasslebeck, those drafts were shit for quarterbacks. Kolb, Griese, Quinn, Stanton, Edwards, Beck were just a few of the other scrubs taken in those drafts. The jury is still out on some of those guys, but I think it's safe to say there won't be any Pro Bowlers in there.
Having said that, I think Jamarcus Russell is the worst pick ever. The Raiders could have had anybody they wanted, and took him. He was 300 fuckin pounds this year!!!! The Chargers were kinda forced into taking Leaf after Manning went off the board.
Edit: I just realized Griese was a pro bowler.
