Western media claims that the North Koreans suffering from hungry and that their country is on the verge of bankruptcy.

I my view such a claim is Western propaganda.

North Korean's main ally is China who supply them food and weapons, so it is useless to think that they give up their independence.

Their social system is certainly not the best, but the citizen are satisfied with it and they obviously want to live in the same way.

What is your basis that this is just propaganda? NK is a hopelessly failed system. China may help them out, but a country has to feed itself, ultimately. And there is more to life than just food. Their health care system is in the stone age. So is their quality of life.

The citizenry is repressed and brainwashed (poor bastards, I genuinely feel very sorry for them), so I believe that you're right, they are not close to throwing in the towel, the way the USSR did.

Western media may lie, but satellite photos do not:

An entire country does not get blacked-out at night unless it has 1) a staggering lack of infrastructure, or 2) an utterly repressive government controlling the nation's electrical grid. Or both.

That´s simply because they know nothing about the world outside North Korea. Just look at what happened in northern african countries when they found out that there were such a thing as democracy in other parts of the world. The same thing will happen sooner or later in North Korea.

Again, you make a claim without any supporting evidence. NK is the very definition of banana republic. And if communists never give up, please explain the former USSR, East Germany, Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, and even China who have gone to the capitalist model for their economy.

I was trying to say that North Korea is not change unless they themselves do not want to.

I do not want to defend North Korea's delinquency, but it is worth remembering that their enemies are at least as bad :sunny:

I'm pretty sure China is getting tired of North Korea. It's nothing but a little brother that constantly acts out and when you factor in everything the only reason China helps them anymore is because they don't want millions of refugees swarming over their border.

Ten years ago my reserve unit was put on alert when North Korean troops began massing near the border with South Korea. They were enveloped in famine and were prepping for an invasion. The only thing that stopped another shooting war was Chinese intervention. Stop pulling this stuff out of your ass.
