Good one. But I can't change that myself as it's a css style change. Being as that is NOT my specialty, I rather wait for the expert to be available to do it for me Monday.

Don't mention it. Well actually.. do mention the thread I made if you see someone (who's not against installing browser addons) asking for the same sorts of customizations.

Also, as critical and angry as I tend to be, there's one really large-scale thing about this change I really need to give props to Freeones team for getting absolutely right from the start: old thread links don't just 404 but get redirected to the right thread on the new board. That is really great. Otherwise about a million links would have just broken.

We're actually working pretty hard, even on the site itself, to make sure everything redirects properly. So having our redirects in order for the board was mandatory for the project. ;-)

CSS pseudo-class selector :visited. Updated the customization thread for it, though some of the links in signatures seem to be inside span elements that have a forced inline color and the :visited selector won't reach those. Don't know how to properly select those yet.

Go to the Freeones xxx logo on the top and click it. Might take a few times. Your page(?) will come up and on the row above click on watched.

You can also use this thread to link in the same way. Took me awhile to figure that out. Other stuff not so good.

Searches for more that one word phrases or names seem to only use the first word in the name or phrase. Gloria Sol only came up with posts about Gloria in general instead of heading directly to exact name posts as before.

The thing I miss most so far, are:
1. the oh so colourful standard make up of the former board.
2. the good ole emoticons, well, at least many of them. I especially miss the drawing heart, the drools, the ole biggrin, the pouding heart, well... call it sentimental blabber, but there you have it... I admit I kinda prefer them to most of the standard twitter/insta-based options. Is it possible to bring them all back?

For the rest: I will get used to this, no doubt.

That was a plugin. You'll have to go to your account on the site to see them until we can rebuild the plugin for this software. Linking names will come first though.

As I said before, yes, you guys will get all the smilies back. But I have to add them one by one and the collection had been expanded over 13 years. So it's not all going to happen today. I got a few in yesterday and plan on doing a few a day till they're all (and maybe some new ones) are added.

I do agree, sentimental blabber I do subscribe to. To board however seems a bit faster, that is deff. an improvement. The outlay so far seems rather cold, but I supose things will be brought back overtime. Not all I guess, but at least the emoticons will come back. Big fan of the throbbin heart, the rubbel and a few more.
And again, hoping one can adjust their personal profile in time, like the old site: background, lettertype, color and so on. We'll see. I am sure it is a hell of tough job they are doing.

We'll have the visited links fixed tomorrow. Unfortunately there's not a setting and it'll require some faffing with the template so I'll let our css wizard do that. We'll also look into the contrast issues as a lot of people aren't a fan.

It will be hard for old members around here but adapt or die, the internet is evolving, I still like only HTML pages that haven't been updated in 2 decades, but credits to Petra and he team of web development and pretty much anyone involved.

Anyway, I am not a fan of dark mode but I suggest a close to the vBulletin colors theme, it is easier on the eyes.
