“The president of the United States’ personal lawyer admitted to lying to Congress about the president’s business activities with a hostile foreign power, in order to support the president’s story. In any rational era, that would be earthshaking….. These are the sorts of developments that would, under normal circumstances, end a presidency.”

Another circle jerk topic

I am going to ask you again to take your grievances to another thread. Continuing to post on this thread in a taunting manner is harassment of another board member. This thread is a high energy discussion of the declining and weak Trump presidency and for those that want to show their dissatifaction for the job he is doing.

To continue to ignore this request in light of the guidelines that have been set for this thread, your continued low energy input will leave me no alternative than to report it for hijacking

As opposed to all the other threads where political banter takes place there has to be a safe space thread?

:hatsoff:

Georges, Jack, get the fuck outta here.

You know which threads are your domain.

Your trolling is just a waste of space in this one.

Enlighten everyone.

Not at all.

I was asked to fuck off from the rah-rah-Trump thread
and georges spams this forum section with articles he doesn't bother reading and
subsequently can't offer any original thoughts or commentary about the shit he posts.

Your idea of political banter is, "another circle jerk topic"?
Still waiting for your deep thoughts, but don't really want to get into a flame war.
Not getting into a flame war. Don't liek the topic? Move the fuck on.

I rarely get involved too deep with politics on here because I'm not gonna change your mind anymire than you will mine. I just find it funny you need a safe space thread to circle jerk to politics without anybody countering or providing different thought. And fact you made thread cos somebody told you fuck off is even better instead of you standing by your political convictions and keep a debate strong. No matter how the other side responds.

So yes this is a safe space circle jerk where nobody can come in and hurt your feelings or you'll try your best to get them for "harassment".

So yes... lol

No, you're making assumptions.

You're more than welcome here, as is anyone else as long as they make quality contributions.

"circle jerk topic" isn't a quality contribution.

No one, "told" me to fuck off, they asked me to let them have their safe space, which I was more than happy to oblige.

Has anyone asked you to fuck off from this thread?

John Podhortez is about as repugnant a Republican as there is, he's been a Trump apologist since Day One.

When it comes to Russian collusion, I’ve always been a skeptic. Here’s why.

Yes, President Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, took money from RT, the Russian propaganda channel, and had contacts with Moscow’s ambassador to Washington that he lied about. But connecting those dots to a conspiracy against the US and the 2016 election has always seemed a crazy stretch.

Same with Jeff Sessions having had three contacts with the same ambassador in 2016. It made no sense that Sessions would lie about those contacts in his confirmation hearing as attorney general, but he did, and in such a manner that made it necessary for him to recuse himself in all matters relating to Russia. That made Trump mad, and the whole business basically destroyed Sessions’ career — and for what?

I’m aware of the oddity of Trump’s consistent refusal to take a critical posture toward Vladimir Putin, both before the election and after. But I’m also aware of the fact that the Trump administration has authorized the sale of lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine, which was more than his predecessor was willing to do for Kiev’s pro-Western government.

Likewise, Carter Page and George Papadopoulos — the two Trump campaign officials we were told had been behaving in weird ways toward Russia during 2016 — were barely campaign officials at all. They were and are nobodies. They were unpaid. And they had no serious role in anything. They may or may not have wanted to collude, but they had no impact on the campaign in either case.

Finally, I know the Trump Tower meeting with a Kremlin-friendly Russian lawyer in June 2016 looks suspicious, especially since the president himself dictated an explanation about it a year later that was a lie, but the simple fact that everybody there said it was boring and that the lawyer was obsessed with sanctions Trump had no power to do anything about seems more plausible than that a giant conspiracy emanated from it.

Today, I’m not such a skeptic any longer. Here’s why.

For starters, we now know, from the plea deal between Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and special counsel Robert Mueller that the Trump organization was actively seeking business opportunities in Moscow even as Trump was securing the GOP nomination. Given the transactional nature of both Trump and Putin, the idea that quid pro quos might have been discussed is impossible to dismiss.

Second, we have, in the past few days, learned of the first possible connection between Russian intelligence and actions taken by the president. This is a little hard to unravel. There’s a radio guy named Randy Credico. There’s a conspiracy monger named Jerome Corsi. And there’s Trump political consigliere Roger Stone.

According to emails, back in 2016, Credico was supposedly in touch with WikiLeaks. Credico told Corsi WikiLeaks had a lot of stuff on Hillary. Corsi told Stone the stuff was coming — and that Trump should start talking about Hillary’s health. Which he did.

WikiLeaks did have lots of stuff on Hillary — or rather, on the Democratic National Committee. It received this material from Russian intelligence, which was doling it out under a false internet identity called “Guccifer 2.0.”

So. It seems there was something in the DNC emails that suggested Hillary might have been unwell. Those emails came from Russian intelligence. WikiLeaks boss Julian Assange told Credico about the fact that the emails were going to be released and that Trump should talk about Hillary’s medical condition. And Trump did.

So: Russian intel gave dirt to Assange, who informed Credico, who in turn gave Corsi a heads-up, who told Stone. Who told Trump.

One last point: Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, who received tens of millions from Ukrainian politicians aligned with Moscow. Manafort was tried and convicted on charges brought by Mueller, but none of them related to the campaign.

Mueller may not be done with him, and clearly Manafort isn’t done with Trump, either. So those who are as collusion-skeptical as I was might want to keep your powder dry.

Think back to Freedom Fest, July 2015 when Maria Butina asked Trump about ending sanctions against Russia. Trump responded "I don't think you need the sanctions"

Follow the bouncing ball to today.

Of course Trump didn't need any stinking sanctions, and really, that ball is bouncing down a road paved with Rubles.

At the G20 summit, this gem of a moment happened:

aaeh.jpg

Our german chancellor, on her way out of her term, finally seems to allow herself to choose the hands she picks up. The text over the pic says:

"When you remember, just before the handshake, what this guy has touched before"

It's taken a bit longer than I'd hoped, but we're finally starting to see real world leaders publicly reject and mock this fraudulent president, and I hope we see it a lot more. He doesn't deserve the respect usually afforded the president of the USA, and his ignorance and grandstanding are a hindrance to the international relationships the rest of the world is working so hard to build and maintain.
