It's been a while since I posted in this thread, doubt if it's worth going back and catching up. I can't imagine anyone supporting the insurrectionist ass Quack-Anon Soviet Republicans, but from everything I keep hearing, "Democrats are in trouble" going into the midterms. That's almost comical.

If the Democrats had the same soviet (Moscow Mitch) leadership, they would have their trouble members way better in check, but, they are not the GOP, so there you go.

Biden is doing a good job, more than that.

Maybe if the tax cuts go through, then corporations will ease up on the price increases. We can have cheaper gas and return to happiness. Problem solved.

There's no excuse to tax the lower incomes to fund tax cuts for the rich.

That said, taxing the mega rich & corporations is never as effective as you might think - these are the guys who can hire the best tax lawyers/accountants who find every possible loophole. Taxing them more just gives them incentive to find more ways to game the system. Between paying an extra $1 million in taxes or using that $1 Million to hire people to find ways around it - they'd rather spend it on the lawyers/accountants. Or if there's no way around it, they'd rather donate the money and raise their PR rather than pay the taxes.

Sounds right to me. I don't fully understand the US financial situation any more than ours. It does seem that both could focus on controlling what they spend. That is a fantasy.

Different topic regarding President Biden. I think his administration did a very good job before Russia attacked the Ukraine. They released classified information and that seemed to prepare the rest of the world. The Democrats are always being accused of owning the press. I remember the Biden Administration getting challenged on the information they were releasing. It was absolutely the right thing to do.

Now President Biden is authorizing an additional $800M in aid to the Ukraine. This includes offensive weapons like artillery and helicopters.

Good on President Biden.

There seems to be quite a few clips like this out there.
He has a long history of speaking gaffs. I see it contributed to his speech impediment of stuttering when he was younger.

I'm not sure if there is an explanation for these and they are just taken out of context. Certainly makes him seem doddering.

PM Johnson seems like Gary Busey on many of his clips. That is not a good look on an Englishman.
