The Biden Presidency

On the dark side of the moon
You know how I know that any...and I mean any...economic windfalls that occur during any president's term have absolutley nothing to do with said president? It's because one needs only to listen to the wacky, perfusive shit that comes out of Trump's mouth about how he's gonna improve the trade gap and save American jobs. Imposing massive import tariffs? Paying for finishing the border wall with S&H green stamps? Doing our defense department shopping at WalMart? If he was allowed to do these kinds of blanket insanities we'd all be Oliver Twisting our way to the street.
You win with S&H Green Stamps. 50 stamps and $5 gets you a cup of coffee.

Biden’s low approval rating has been quoted elsewhere, but why is so low? The economy keeps adding jobs and unemployment is nearing 4%. Inflation is easing and borrowing rates are coming down.

It seems more like Morning in America than some dystopian failed state reported by some.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-j...-unemployment-rate-falls-to-41-131017848.html
Because many people have seen that he is an inept and senile president that is gaffing all the time, his foreign policy is a catastrophe or worse a clusterf*ck, his policy against illegal immigrants is irresponsible and the list goes on and on. More people are living under pay check under Joe than under Trump , this link is confirming it
https://thehill.com/business/4704840-58-percent-in-new-poll-say-theyre-living-paycheck-to-paycheck/ I quote "Asked who is the most responsible for the state of the economy, 42 percent of those polled said Biden. Nearly 45 percent said they are worse off than a year ago when it comes to the economy, with only 23 percent saying they are better off financially." Which shows again that Joe's way of managing the economy was stupid and you wouldn't have so much inflation if he was bright and clever of how to manage economy. Also this link gives you statistic of how many live paycheck to paycheck https://www.forbes.com/advisor/banking/living-paycheck-to-paycheck-statistics-2024/ many are doing worse under Biden than under Trump. Also another factor why people dislike Joe so much.

An excellent article that sums up pretty well how fucked up is the biden's presidency https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/editorials/3182506/joe-biden-perfect-presidency/ here are the main points of the article explaining why creepy joe's presidency is an absolute failure:
1) I quote "There is a reason Vice President Kamala Harris chose “A new way forward” as her campaign slogan. According to the latest polling, 60% of voters disapprove of the job Joe Biden is doing as president, and 64% say the country is going in the wrong direction" Unsurprising here for me to say the least, especially when a president like Biden is gaffing all the time or worse , I wonder how many peole here are totally happy with Joe's presidency.

2) I quote "
On Biden’s first day in office, he began dismantling Trump’s successful border security policies, issuing more than hal a dozen executive actions, making it easier for illegal immigrants to enter and stay in the United States. He ended Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy, suspended all interior deportations, and created new loopholes in Trump’s Title 42 enforcement. As a result, illegal border crossings quadrupled in Biden’s first year in office and peaked in December 2023. Asked point blank in another interview by CBS Newss Bill Whitaker if it was “a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place,” Harris mumbled that “the policies that we have been proposing are about fixing a problem, not promoting a problem,” and then she blamed Congress for not acting, when, as Whitaker pointed out, it was Biden’s policies, supported by Harris, that caused the crisis in the first place." There is one party to blame the illegal aliens crisis which is the democrats and no one lese and will ask a straight question, how many people have observed a positive change withose policies encouraging illegals to flood America, I rewonder.

3) I quote "Months later, Biden followed through on his political timetable for withdrawing American military personnel from Afghanistan, a botched and reckless operation that cost the lives of 13 U.S. service members and threw the women of that benighted nation back into despotism. Authoritarians from around the world witnessed Biden’s hapless weakness and were emboldened by it. It is not an accident that the invasion of Ukraine and the attacks by the Houthis and Hamas followed in its wake. What makes it doubly odd that Harris is unable or unwilling to name a single policy decision by Biden that she would do differently is that she has so many known disagreements with him to choose from. Biden is for fracking, Harris was against it. Biden is against banning private health insurance, Harris was for it. Biden is against mandatory gun buybacks, Harris was for them. Biden is against decriminalizing illegal border crossings, Harris was for it." which also points out how fucked up was the withdrawal from Afghanistan and how Biden's tactical and foreign policy was an absolute failure.Harris is untrustworthy as vice president and even more so as a potential president

Did anyone note the stock market (as measured by the DJIA) reached an all-time high yesterday? It was the 4th session in a row. US retail sales increased and jobless claims fell.

The Biden economy is humming along quite nicely.

At least in terms of the stock market, isn't that argued as a response to the election? Same is being said about crypto shares going up, as tump has indicated support for them too.

Considering my post was on October 18th, not really. That said, it has kept rising.

On October 31, the Wall Street Journal shouted in a headline ‘The Next President Inherits A Remarkable Economy.’ A nominally conservative outlet said this.

Poor Joe wrecked it eh?

Ooops, LOL.
But like you said, the point still stands as stocks have generally done better since Nov 5th. People were speculating that he is friendly to big business.

Then again (and back on topic) joe was chastised by Bernie for forsaking the working class in favour of the fatcats, so I guess it would works both ways?
