The 5 Biggest Douche Bags In Recent Sports History

This attitude puzzles me. John Daly has a history of never-ending POOR CHOICES and yet he should be admired?
Notwithstanding Daly's domestic troubles, in public, the man comes off as a very approachable, soft spoken, easy going gentleman who shuns the celebrity identity, he loves his fans, he's publicly apologized and accepted responsibility for his ''poor choices" of the past and he seems eager to move on. I've yet to see a mean streak in him.

folk hero :dunno:

Conspiracy...
The top two should be O.J. and Kobe Bryant.
Bryant should not have been allowed to play again.

Maybe Ray Lewis and Rae Carruth should round that list out? I don't know why you think Kobe, however. :dunno:

Daly spends time with his fans - interacts with them - more than most all other guys on the Tour. I talk with people who have met JD and he is more than willing to talk his profession with a regular fan at any time. There aren't too many guys on tour that do what JD does to the regular fan.

Unfortunately, you're probably right.
You know, I didn't really follow him or anything, so I can't say if he was a douche before, but probably when at least 25% of the stories are true. But the way he acts now is just...well, super douchy.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Thanks for that, my number 2.

And here comes number three: Nick Swisher. And I'm not saying that because he's wearing the pinstripes now, that guy was born a douche.

(I'm also tempted to add Johnny Damon, because he is kind of a douche, but in the end he's just a little whore.)

Yeah, the very public nature of his divorce from the Packers that suddenly has him on a mission to "show them" is sort of what convinces me.

Nick Swisher?!? Wow, perhaps you've had an experience that has left you with that impression, but having talked to him probably hundreds of times, I have to say I have the exact opposite impression. He's probably the most relaxed, down to Earth guy you could ever hope to meet. My wife four years ago bought me season tickets down the third base line, and every game that I was at, without fail, he'd come out and and chat after the game with my wife and I, and we never knew why he was drawn to us. He and my wife were on a first name basis. But alas, perhaps there is something else to his personality that I'm not privy to.

Obviously a good example of how people have different impressions of other people. But on the other hand, when thinking about it, seeing someone as a douche doesn't necessarily mean for me he's not a down to earth guy who's easy going. And I don't even hate him are can't stand him, it's just his whole appearance and demeanor that makes me think of him as a douche, from the first time I saw him with the A's. So Swisher is a douche more because of what's outside.

Favre on the other hand is a douche because he's an idiot and his post-Packers antics are superbly moronic.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a douche because he's a little crybaby. He's a superb and unique footballer with skills most of us don't even dare to dream of, but he's a little bitch on the pitch. His on-field antics are excruciating, even if he was on a team I'm rooting for. E.g. after being fouled he's often sitting on his ass on the field raising his arms and having this look on his face like he's about to cry every second. That's super douchy, no doubt about it.

This one deserves an asterisk nearest his name as "d - bag" doesn't fit the bill .... "rise and fall" would seem to be much more appropriate in our analysis / retrospective of Ken Caminiti (Slideshow) -

What can you say ? I will never understand what happened to this guy, I mean .... he was financially set for the rest of his life, but instead, he went on a tear and terminated his life all too prematurely via severe drug abuse. :dunno:

If I was to define the word "pity", I might describe the final years of Mr. Caminiti's life. :(

Why Mussberger and Dicky V? When my Hawkeye's played UCLA in the 87 Rose Bowl, Brent said some really good things about my brother. So I've always favored him after that, I guess.

Vitale is a gregarious guy who seems to inject a lot of enthusiasm for a game I usually couldn't care less about.

But the rest are pretty good.
