Suppertime! Suppertime! Hey Fellas, What'd You Have For Supper Tonight?

I just had a chunk of Hillshire farm smoked kielbasa, and a little brown mustard.

Well .. not so much what I had for supper (Kraft mac & cheese, iceburg salad with cucumber and tomato - with ranch dressing, washed down with strawberry Quik) - it was what I had for dessert. I had a coupon for $1 off two pints of Ben & Jerry ice cream. I got stuck with a coffee version of the toffee crunch, and made do with peanut butter cup for the second one. OMFG! The peanut butter cup one reminds me of the Friendly's peanut butter cup sundaes I had in my teens. I'm definitely adding that bad boy to my ice cream rotation!

I'm having one of those new Arby's burgers. I got the bacon ranch, I think it's pretty good. A little dry, but not horrible, I'll defiantly go back for another one.

Thanks for taking one for the team. Sounds pretty good. I imagine the meat itself was tasty.

The wife is cooking some Shrimp Scampi tonight. That little Asian gal does pretty good with Italian food.

So does my little Pollack. Which is odd, because her mother doesn't do Italian very well, but does the Polish foods beyond belief. I have never had roast pork like her's, not even my mothers was better.

Yeah, the burger itself was tasty, the bun wasn't bad, but I would have preferred a regular sesame seed bun, but I'm over it. I am not a fan of their shredded lettuce, but the tomatoes were alright, the bacon crispy, the cheese melty.

What are the Pierogis like at your place? We have a great Polish place we go to and the inside looks like a little Polish house. They serve the food through a bookcase. Totally cool. I like me some Pierogis. My Russian grandmother used to make great Stuffed Cabbage and the Poles make that stuff too.

We have 2 places, not around the corner, but no more then 1/2 hour away. The best of the 2 is called "The Little Polish Diner". They have amazing food, and their pierogi's are the best. My m.i.l. says their food is the closest she's ever had to her mothers cooking, and she came from the old country. And inexpensive, too. Not a good din in place, very small, but their carry out business thrives. No Sundays, special of the day, and they close at 7 pm. Their chicken paprikash is amazing, and my favorite off their menu. I never have eaten at the other place, it's called "Babushka's".

Friday night I hit the local Chinese place for beef with onions and peppers. Washed it down with two Sam Adams' Boston Lagers.

last night I had a "Chicago Classic" deep dish pizza from a place called Antonio's. It's a 10" pie stuffed with double sausage, and double cheese, and topped with Sicilian sauce, and grated Romano cheese. Even I can't eat a whole one.

Went out to this place by LAX on Manchester named Paco's. Had a combination plate starting with a bowl of Tortilla Soup then my main plate had a Carnitas Taco, Shredded Beef Enchilada, and a Chile Relleno with rice and beans. They have a lady there who hand rolls fresh tortillas. Great food.

As a Californian and an Angeleno I feel bad for people who don’t have good Mexican Food around. It tastes great and is pretty inexpensive too. Margaritas on a sunny day sure are nice too.
