don't know about the monthly fee, does it say anything about it on the official website?

1 Month Subscription: $14.99

3 Month Subscription: $13.99 per month; one-time charge of $41.97

6 Month Subscription: $12.99 per month; one-time charge of $77.94

I just bought this game today and paid for the 6 month fee. I played it for 6 hours straight o_O I do like it indeed.

Highly recommend it

I have been playing for a few days and I must admit I have popped my MMO cherry and I am now addicted and can't stop playing, very good game IMO

do i need to DL it? and what type of computer stuff do i need? i have an older desktop so it probably doesnt have the necessary capacity to handle this game. i signed up to check it out but i guess ill find out once the Free play starts.

Not sure I have not got it myself just readin up on my daily game news. But did a quick search and I found specs required are:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4000 or better / Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0 Ghz or better
Memory: At least 1.5 GB RAM for XP / 2 GB or better for Windows Vista/7
Graphics: ATI XT1800 or better / NVIDIA 7800 or better / Intel 4100 or better. 256 MB minimum video RAM, shader 3.0 or better fully compatible graphics card.
OS: Windows XP / Vista / Windows 7
DVD-ROM: 8x or better

Ive put togehter a PC of these specs for less than $500 a few years ago should be cheaper now adays if your looking to upgrade.

nah ...i was just going to check out the free weekend thing but i know it won't work cause my computer is pretty damn old.

i went through the necessary setup to get the weekend pass ...then.... Not enough memory on my computer- shucks.,

I can't help but snicker a bit... Even tho SOE messed up big time with SWG - SWG was never F2P.
For nostalgia I still miss the old SWG ... long live the SWG (emu)

If only they had listened to the fans and made KotOR 3 like they wanted instead of this dumbass MMO. They wouldn't be in the mess they are in and it wouldn't have pretty much ruined the whole KotOR timeline and the characters from the first two games.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
Not to be a dissenting opinion or anything, but I love this game. It's my first MMO, and I didn't enjoy the concept at first, but it's really grown on me. Being in an active guild and completing flashpoints really makes the game fun for me. I had a blast finishing the Consular storyline and finally reaching level 50. And now I'm playing six other characters at various stages of progression.

Side note: I loved KOTOR and really liked KOTOR II. As much as I love SWTOR, I'd trade it all day every day for a KOTOR III.

Well I knew it was probably going to happen, but after going on wookieepedia and reading what happens to the KotOR era, Reven, and the Exile and other characters, and that now one of the few good places left in Star Wars has been crapped on, enough has happened to the Star Wars E.U. that I can pretty much write off being a fan of Star Wars for almost all things after all these years. At one time it was a very nice ride, but the death throes of what was good about KotOR and post RotJ in the Star Wars slowly being killed off have made it's death long and agonizing.

(And I'm not even involving that MMOs are a very bad medium for anything but time wasting and general social interaction outside of the environment and far as plots and story telling goes.)

Too many stupid things done in the Star Wars E.U. over the past 12 years has pretty much soured it for me, maybe irreversibly.

I think you really loved The phantom menace, Attack of the clones, Revenge of the Sith and especially Jar Jar Binks. :surprise:

I think I'm finally coming off of the digital crack high that is SWTOR, I had a lot of fun with this game for the past year

I'm surprised you lasted this long ;)

Anybody else still playing this game regularly? I have four level 55 characters and I'm working on a fifth. I really enjoyed the quests on Oricon and Makeb and am looking forward to more end game content. It's the only MMORPG I've ever played, and I've never really gotten bored with it.
