You are wrong about this. A forum this size attracts a lot of people who just want to spam their shit. If we removed the mod team this would become spam heaven in no time. It would also leave us wide open for exploits and all types of crap we all dont want here.

The moderating of the users/threads is just a part of the job of the mods.

^^^In addition to what Roald said, you guys don't even realize we have spam problems do you? That's because the mods take care of most of it before it's even allowed to hit the board.

I don't know if you can implement games like they have on king.com and allow members to play against each other, bear in mind I know nothing about software and computers in case the very suggestion is absurd and impossible to implement

I've looked into it in the past and it's really, really heavy on processing power. Especially if all 50,000+ members decide to play at once.

Unlocking a thread for the sole purpose of warning (or daring depending on your viewpoint) people not to do something is pretty much a textbook example of a power trip. He even made threats after another moderator had settled the issue seven hours ago. Why the excess? Was it not clear after DOA's post informed everyone that such behavior would not be tolerated? Why did Georges feel the need to pile on?

The Board did seem to slow down a bit after the change of format, but as people have said it'll bounce back again.

As to the question at hand, I'm not sure, but I like the idea of a free-for-all type of thread. A thread for anything goes, posts and pics. Within reason of course.
