You may remember my guardian Great Dane called "Dog"

He passed away peacefully (which I was very happy with as I would have hated him to be in distress or have to be put to sleep) in his sleep at the end of January and I can not face getting another one.

I just can't bring myself to even think about getting another. Has anyone else ever felt that way and does it pass.

My Dalmatian and two German Pointers, who are brothers are completely lost without him.

Dog RIP

Aw, i'm really sorry to hear about your loss. It's heartbreaking to lose your dog, my Staffordshire Bull Terrier died a few months ago and still miss him like mad, I couldn't bare to get another either. It does get better with time though, just remember he would have had a good life with you and went without any pain.

He was a great looking Dane btw!

Dog RIP

It took me a while before I was ready to have another dog after Lady died - I even find myself calling Nalle "Lady" at times - more out of habit than anything else.

You'll always remember "Dog" and remember, the joys he brought while he was with you will outlast the pain of his loss.

I'm at loss for words, Miss H. :(

I'm better not saying now that the way you're standing in that pic looks extremely sexy. :o

I don't see a gross face. You look like an angel sleeping! Okay, a drunk angel maybe, but nonetheless gorgeous!

I would be in heaven if this was the last I saw before going to sleep and the first after waking up for the rest of my life. :iloveyou:

Papa, where do you find the names for your dogs?

Nalle = teddybear in Swedish

Knalle = traveling salesman (the type that sell their goods at markets) in Swedish

Yeah, the other day we found a bird on the living room floor, legs, wings, chest and head had all been separated with the skill of a professional butcher.

And the bloody cat has a bell around his neck!

More bad news I am afraid. One of my twin German Pointers had a seizure yesterday and died. He was only 7 years old. That is my Great Dane, pussy cat and him since the start of the year.

He is the one on top on the first post of this page.
