The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
the recent history of super bowl losers. the same fate as the bears will have. the browns probably have a better shot of making the playoffs. :D

Yeah, I don't think the Bears will do too hot this year. Too much hype. As far as the Browns go, I won't be holding my breath while I'm waiting for a playoff appearance.

Patriots have the best coach in the NFL. Tough and smart and knows how to win. 3 more yards ini AFC cahmpionship game and we would have another Superbowl Ring

Well, as I suspected and predicted, Brodie Croyle sucks balls. Tonight against NO- 5 of 17 with one pick for 45 yards. And this guy was competing for the starting job? Give me a break!

I thought this was an unneeded distraction- Damon Huard did good last year, has leadership and experience, and they spent all that time and money to extend his stay in KC by 3 years. Then Herm decides "Hey, I want to just open up this whole QB thing". It was bad enough having LJ hold out, then our own coach stirs a QB controversy.

Brodie? Here's your clipboard, son...

if they're going to have a QB anytime soon they'd better play him this year to get him ready for the future. Their alternatives look bleak... so this is their best option.

brodie coyle will be fine. geez, its his first season. let him go through the preseason. :1orglaugh

It's NOT his first season, and he's just not ready. He's thrown a pick in every preseason game, and a lot of them in camp this year, too. He makes bad decisions. I don't mind working him into the lineup this year, but STARTING? No way. You have a veteran that makes smart choices in the lineup.

Brodie Croyle is a better option than Damon Huard? I don't think so.

I'm speaking about their future at QB. Huard is the easy QB choice for KC this year at least for the first 5/6 weeks. But the more starts for Croyle the more we'll know whether or not he's a starting QB in the NFL.

Not sure.

Sure, and I understand that, but according to Herm, that's what he's doing right now in preseason- determining whether Croyle can start this year. Based on his performance in 3 straight games, I'm saying no. He's forced the ball, creating turnovers (including a rather weak-looking throw into the end zone for a pick), and his completion percentage is shit. Now, that being said, I'd be willing to give him a chance with Larry Johnson back in the lineup, to see if the threat of a running game frees up some turf for him.

But just based on performance in the pre-season thus far- he looks terrible.

I have the feeling that he will start again in the final pre-season game, with LJ playing, and then we'll get a decision from Herm "Don't Panic" Edwards.

^^I understand you're saying. But for Herm to make the decision that way is stupid. So if Croyle has a good game next week, he's likely to get the job... Who says that Huard wouldn't play great with LJ in the backfield. You can just go by what he did last year for than info.

Herm should make this decision. If he wants Croyle to start it should be based on him being their future. Similar to how Romo/Bledsoe worked out in Dallas.

If he's concerned about getting to the playoff this year... it's automatic. Play Huard
