But on the bright side, because of you, I now officially have 3 stooges on this board. You, johan, and the other fucktard chopper something. Yeah, I'm still hoping that little cunt accepts my invitation to come see me with his mighty cricket bat.

I believe I was warned by a mod to watch myself. You aren't trying to entrap me are you? Because in "Merica, we got laws for that.

I had some toy guns growing up, that I would NEVER allow a child to have these days. In fact I still have a battery operated mini Uzi squirt gun. The clip slides out to fill it up, and it is full auto.

One of the bigger issues today, are the bb and air soft guns, that are incredibly realistic, except for a little orange thing on the barrel, which can be easily removed. Perfect example. The bb gun Tamir Rice had, when he was shot by police, had that orange piece removed, and that thing looked EXACTLY like a 1911 style pistol. They showed it on the news, and it was scary real looking.

When I was a young child in early 90s North Carolina, we had what we referred to as "cap guns". These were fairly accurate representations of old west six-shooters with a panel which could be slid out of place to allow the loading of caps. The "caps" were long strips of red paper with dark dots of something on them which would create a loud noise when the hammer struck to simulate a gunshot. Have no idea to what happened to those.

Not exactly on topic but I was inspired to say something by the post immediately prior to this one.

As a child of the 70s in Pittsburgh, we had those too. We used to take the strip, lay them on the ground, and make the ‘dots’ pop with a rock.

I had them too. It was a little bit of gun powder I think, or a primitive version of those little white paper wads that popped when you whipped them at the ground. I also had the detective revolver with the plastic ring of caps, and I had another cap gun that took strips of caps you put in a clip, and slid it in the handle, like a real pistol..

Six people were killed and more than two dozen others wounded when a gunman started firing a high-powered rifle from a rooftop 10 minutes after the Highland Park Fourth of July parade kicked off Monday morning, authorities said.
Authorities continued to hunt Monday afternoon for the shooter, and “the offender still has not been apprehended so far"
Seriously, how fucked up do you have to be to randomly shoot into a festive crowd? There's no religious/cultural motive, no personal motive, and they were of the state of mind to setup a sniper nest, wait until parade started before shooting, and then fled the scene leaving his weapon behind. So probably safe to say this was planned and not spontaneous drug/booze related.

If I'm not mistaken, you can hear the rapid fire just as the clips starts. The fucker was just firing into the crowd.

This sounds familiar:
Police are still searching for an unidentified suspect who is described as an 18 to 20-year-old White man with black hair and a small build. He's considered armed and dangerous, officials say.

Definitely a pattern that is somewhat consistent enough that you would want to look at teenage to early 20s White males that seem to weigh less than 150 lbs.

Chicago resident here. This shooting took place in Highland Park, a well-to-do suburb north of Chicago. Needless to say that you don't expect this type of stuff to happen there. Suspect has been identified as Robert "Bobby" Crimo. Search is underway

On another note this was the statement from the GOP nominee for governor. Typical dumbassery that you would expect from this braindead party that we call the Republican party

Following the mass shooting at a July 4 parade in Highland Park, Illinois, a Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate bluntly urged the community to “move on.” Standing next to supporters at a different parade, after taking a moment in prayer, state Sen. Darren Bailey, said: “Let’s move on and celebrate the independence of this nation.” He added, “We have got to get corruption and evil out of our government.” After being roasted on social media, Bailey released a statement that said, “I apologize if in any way we diminished the pain being felt across our state today.” He also wrote on Twitter: “I send our heartfelt prayers to the victims of the shooting in Highland Park. July 4th is supposed to be a holiday for families, for parades, for celebrating the American Dream, but when people don't feel safe in their own community, they are deprived of that dream.”

Highland Park is 10 miles from me and my daughter's former Bosses live there. Wealthy community. 6 dead so far and 25 injured. It's not gonna stop.
Here's the obligatory comment from a local: "I felt shocked. How could this happen in a peaceful community like Highland Park?”

Don’t judge a book by its cover but there may be an interesting story scribbled all over his face.
