COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford says he supports his wife's decision to move out of the governor's mansion, just weeks after he admitted to an affair with another woman.

Jenny Sanford plans to spend the school year with their four sons at their home at Sullivans Island on the South Carolina coast.

Sanford issued a statement Friday as his wife and several other women packed boxes into SUVs and left the governor's mansion in a caravan.

The governor says the decision was best for the couple's efforts at reconciliation. In June, Mark Sanford admitted to a yearlong affair with an Argentine woman he called his "soul mate."

The Sanfords and their sons returned this week from a trip to Europe. The boys had attended a private school in Columbia."

So he is trying to reconcile with his wife but his mistress is his soul mate?

Poor, dumb bastard. Man, I would have had half the state troopers in South Carolina by my side, and armed with M16's, while that was going on.

Talk about a dude whose goose is well & truly cooked! He might as well bone up on his Espanol and get a down low/Q.T. bank account in Argentina now. He won't see a day of peace once she hires a lawyer... which is likely her next step (not that I can blame her).

But damn, this guy takes stupid to a whole new level!

I don't know what the problem here is. What's wrong with divorce? Even if they were catholic they could just write the big annulment check.

When a man fucks up his family life like he did, the wife will never trust him again anyway....it's time for little Marky to grow up and move on with his life.
