I also say No! The people that don't like the Rep System the way it is are just Jealous that us new guys are gaining on them, alot of us have worked hard for rep in the ID section and also just the pure posting greatness! Sure its not easy to compete with Dirk's, Diva's & Dronicus's but I say leave rep be, Im for some checks n balances but not a reset.
I also think Centauro's Rep should be doubled

The rules say no flaming, no fighting, no kicking sand in faces, no hair pulling, no dragging through the mud, no eye gouging, no Nunchucks usage, no taking out to the woodshed, Etc. and yet, with Negative Rep being available, FreeOnes provides the very means to incite all those activities that y'all don't want.

I voted to reset it. It's largely meaningless now with how astronomical the numbers are. I don't really post here that often anymore, so I'm just meh about it anyway.

Here's a way to decrease the amount of rep given out: do away with those stupid post count milestone threads. Why do we need a goddamn thread dedicated to every 1,000 posts? Those threads are fucking pointless and the people being congratulated just end up repping everyone who posts a comment. That cheapens the system and inflates the numbers. Another plus to eliminating those threads: Marlo Manson won't have anything to post about. Ever.

Oh, I know the Negative Rep thing isn't mentioned in the rules.
But, it does exist in everyone's arsenal so to speak.
It is available.
The other stuff IS mentioned in the rules ... well, minus the embellishment that I added.
My point was that just like with any Forum anywhere, there are disagreements and often times, they get really heated. With the varying personalities, there are different thresholds of how quickly and what exactly will push someone's buttons into going unhinged. With FreeOnes providing the Negative Rep weapon, that CAN be the catalyst for some personalities to consider the situation --- "Them's Fightin' Woids." :eek:

I've seen some Knock Down Drag Outs in various Forums / Message Boards throughout the years. And those didn't even have a Negative Rep equivalent weapon. So, I can only imagine that the Negative Rep HAS been used for the purpose of pushing someone's buttons before.

In other words, what good is it to even have the Positive Rep accumulation thing when it is so easy for someone to just for the hell of it chop down that number by giving you Negative Rep.
