So I'm getting ready to finish up one of my first ever serious art projects in color. Actually it's probably my first ever serious one. It's of a penciled and inked comic book picture I found online, but not yet colored. I just did it to see how good it would come out because I haven't worked with color in my artwork since high school and even then it was just something I got done to finish a project back then.

Would I be able to host the picture on the same sites people do with their signatures here? There isn't any nudity or anything like that. The picture does have huge resolution so I might have to scale it down to make it reasonable.

Also does anybody know of a good picture format that can be used over the Internet on browsers that's good or at least better for retaining picture quality? Jpeg seems to dull some things and it often looses color quality when I convert pictures to that.

Yep any site like that is good, although some have higher limits than others. Imagebam is the best one I know (10mb). Postimage was 100mb but it shut down.

PNG is better than JPEG for quality. The file size will probably be a lot bigger though.

yep, agree: png is superior to jpeg but there will be an exponential file size increase .
