Random Statement Thread II

I've had a couple of them today though I did run out of lemons.:( We don't keep the other stuff.

I love those two works together Hot Tottie it just sounds so sexy to me.

I had to spend a large portion of the day making emergency repairs to my car. It's better than it was before, but it's not going to last long. I'm just really hoping I can get a month or two more out of it.

it does sound a like some kind of sex terminology...rather than a old time remedy for colds (not really a remedy so much as a you forget you're sick cure :D)

Yes but as long as I don't feel my throat hurting I can eat so I'm all for sexy forget I'm sick drinks.

That sucks. I hope you get your month or two out of it.

:sing: There once was a woman
A strange kind of woman
The kind that gets written down in history
Her name was Nancy
Her face was nothing fancy
She left a trail of happiness and misery
I loved her
Everybody loved her
She loved everyone and gave them good return
I tried to take her
I even tried to break her
She said I ain't for takin' won't you ever learn
I want you I need you I gotta be near youI spent my money as I took my turn
I want you I need you I gotta be near you
Ooh I got a strange kind of woman
She looked like a raver
But I could never please her
On Wednesday mornings boy you can't go far
I couldn't get her
But things got better--she said
Saturday nights from now on baby you're my star
She finally said she loved me
I wed her in a hurry
No more callers and I glowed with pride
I'm dreaming
I feel like screaming
I won my woman just before she died
I want you I need you I gotta be near you
I spent my money as I took my turn
I want you I need you I gotta be near you
Ooh I had a strange kind of woman :sing:

:banger: :sing: We all come out to Montreux on the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile we didn't have much time
Frank Zappa and the Mothers were at the best place around
But some stupid with the flare gun burned the place to the ground
Smoke on the water and fire in the sky
Smoke on the water
They burned down the gambling house it died with an awful sound
Funke and Cloud was running in and out pulling kids out the ground
When it all way over we had to find another place
It seemed that we would lose the race
Smoke on the water and fire in the sky
Smoke on the water
We ended up in the Grand Hotel, it way empty, cool and fare
But with the Rolling truck Stones things just outside making our music here
With the few red lights and a few old beds we made a place to sweat
No matter what we got out of this I know, I know we'll never forget
Smoke on the water and fire in the sky
Smoke on the water :sing: :banger:

Exactly, it was, what? Some 30 years ago that Smoke On The Water was mainstream.

At least. A great song is a great song no matter the time though. Not sure much of today's is going to have much carry over if my kids are any example. They get tired of whats mainstream in a week and the bands forgotten.
