Anonymous hacked PSN, not 360 fanboys. I don't know the whole story but apparently anonymous got ticked off after Sony sued some guy who was jailbreaking the system or something. Anonymous got pissed and declared war on Sony in order to be activists for people's freedoms, they said they weren't going to take personal information from users, they only wanted to expose Sony. Apparently Anonymous is going to keep attacking Sony after this but they are going to find a way to make it only affect Sony and not the PSN users.

Anonymous didn't hack the network.

If anyone does any real research into the matter, going into all the stories SONY have given over the past fortnight and a half, the proof is there that SONY actually took down the network themselves.

Firstly, because people who have jailbroken consoles can access the PlayStation Store and play their games online (something SONY blocks even on the PSP).

Secondly, SONY want to be sure that they can prevent those with custom firmware's getting online and playing anything they may not have paid for.

Thirdly (and final), SONY with nothing soluble to fall back on. Will keep the spotlight on Anonymous, due to the Hotz case being settled on a proviso that he never hacks any SONY products in the future. Which because Anonymous issued a statement to SONY for acquiring all the IP addresses of those who visited Hotz site, or viewed his videos, Anonymous are the first thought of the media to anything appearing wrong in the media's viewpoint of SONY.

It may be the first time for PSN, but Sony Entertainment has had shit hit the fan over the years.

What kind of pisses me off is the shitty customer service. I have 2 accounts on one of their MMOs I'm being charged for that I want to fucking cancel.

Fuck that shit dude, you shouldn't have to have a plan B, NO ONE should have to have a plan B. You should just have to buy a console based on what you like about it and have confidence that the console is not gonna break or if its not gonna have some of it's feature missing. I shouldn't have to buy a PS3 because I'm scared that my 360 is going to malfunction. No one in the genesis/Snes era said I'm gonna buy the SNES but I'm also gonna get a Genesis in case something goes wrong with my SNES. Game companies were never this fucked up back in the day, yeah sure they had their cheap products like the 32x or the virtual boy but you could have CONFIDENCE in your system, not like nowadays, it's bullshit.

I think he was referring to the system itself. Unlike the PS3 and 360 both with have RLOD and RROD respectively. Which means your system is a fucking brick. That shit didn't happen back in the day unless you abused your machine.

I went to Gamestop today to pre-order LA Noire for the XBOX 360 and I asked the guy if people have been buying PS3 games. He and his boss both said that a lot of people have been returning their PS3 games.
