Yea right. PSN is a free service. They probably won't give us shit! Hell they'll even probably turn around and charge us to play online on top of not giving us shit for not being able to for 2 weeks. Whatever, if anything, we get from them will be worthless anyway. Remember when LIVE went down they gave everyone a free arcade game. But it wasn't our choice what game, which would have been nice. It was some bullshit lame ass underwater shooter garbage! I don't expect much if anything from sony.

Dward, you're overreacting man and Shayd is right, this isn't even comparable to what happened on XBL, from what I can see Sony has just fucked up, and they're trying to use the fact that PSN is free as an excuse to not compensate people. Besides being a BluRay player, isn't one of the reasons a Ps3 was so pricey at launch was because online gaming was included in the price?

I like the fact that Sony is thinking compensation- i just want to be sure it is sufficient. Will they put limitations on the 30day PS Plus? We will see how they ultimately handled the situation when June rolls around.

Before it went down i was playing Homefront - which is ok
Prior to that it was BlackOps- got tired of it.

Now im looking forward to BFBC3 and the new Uncharted

I wrote a nice sized post that I forgot to push "send reply",but it basically said that in theory,Sony really didn't own us anything extra when the network gets back up since their service is free.

Then I said from the gamers perspective that since then fucked up in a huge way by letting our personal info get leaked,that they'd better give us something just as a gesture of good will.That and the fact that there are reports that there are a lot of people trading in their PS3's.Furthermore,there's stories of XBL having a free weekend last week,and I heard a rumor yesterday that XBL was allowing modded/hacked 360s onto their network.Looks like Microsoft is trying to kick a good dog when it's down.

Anyway,good to see that Sony is at least trying to make up for some of the bullshit that's been going on the past couple of weeks.I think what they finally realized is that more people were pissed about them not coming forth with any info more than the actual incident itself.

I'm irritated that the situation should have been corrected long before it happened since apparently there was a huge hole. Should have been found and fixed long before the shit hit the fan. I'm not going back to microsoft. I had their console for about 4 years. It died for good, and I refuse to buy another of the same console. Especially when I have a PS3 which was originally just for blu-ray and GoW3. Now has become my sole gaming system. If it dies...then hell I'll be out of a system. If I do buy another one it'll be a PS3 again. Free online play. Can't beat that!

The thing is that while I'm a PS3 fan(not necessarily a fanboy),I guess I never really understood why 360 fanboys hate PS3.

I can tell you why I wouldn't buy a 360,and it's mainly because I'm not interested in any of their exclusive games,with the exception of Gears Of War,but that doesn't justify paying $300 for a console to me.Also,I hate their controller.I'm just way too use to playing with the dual shock.

PS3 just had the games thatI wanted to play.Metal Gear Solid 4,Ratchet & Clank,Killzone 2 & 3,MAG,Gran Turismo,Uncharted 2,God Of War 3,inFamous.

The scale was just tipped way to far in favor for PS3 for me.

So why are the 360 fanboys so against PS3? Is it for the same reason that I listed,but towards the 360? If so,then can we all just play our games and be happy playing them?

The 360 fanboys have been having a field day with sony the past 3 weeks.

I was a fan of PS2, not a fanboy. I got the 360 about a year after it came out. Due to price being about half that of a new PS3. My 360 died and I already had a PS3 for god of war 3 and blu-ray. I still don't know which console is better in terms of hardware. Most games are made for both systems. I couldn't care less about exclusives for either system. These tend to be games I don't like anyway, save for god of war 3. But not being able to play online is starting to piss me off. Why can't the hackers go for the 360 too? Must be 360 fanboys that hacked sony's network.
