Profanity in Reputation

Fucking hell! Can we just scrap the rep system all together?? To get to this state where we have a moderator, someone we are told to respect and help in there job, tell a member to go fuck themselves is pretty disgusting.... well clearly the rep system causes more bad than good feeling and is serving to distract and detract from more positive aspects of the board. Other places I have been have the same issues with post counts - people with a huge count feel superior etc etc. Scrap rep, scrap post counts, enjoy the naked women. Or, like me, the silly word games!

I have voiced my opinion about the reputation "thing"!!!!!!! So I guess I should have started another thread about the mod's respecting the members. I mean this works both ways here. If the mod's doesn't respect the members how are the members suppose to respect them? I think FB was definitly in the wrong by cussing another member in public on the board. Moderators are suppose to set good examples. What kind of example is a Mod setting by telling a member to Go F*** themself? Who chooses the mods any way. I am not saying they are all bad, but there are a few that do abuse their power. And I am going out on a limb here and say that 90% of the members would agree. The only one's that disagree are other mod's and the handfull of members that argue just for the sake of argueing. Maybe time for a new poll, Such as "Do you think some of the mods abuse their power"? It would probably be closed though with a mod having the last word. Has happened before. JMHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, that's not true. The title is "Profanity in reputation" and members are talking about FB doing just that to Goblin. If FB insults someone, and subsequently makes an ass of himself, he should hear what the board members have to say in response. Closing this thread now is a cowards way out.

And in FB defence, we are all human, we all have bad days and who doesnt tell someone to fuck off once in a while. If someone pisses me off i tell them straight. Were here to moderate the boards, we do this free of charge remember people and the boards cant run without mods. Just bare that in mind before you crucify FB for making one offensive post out of 3000, and in my opinion he is probably respected by more members than any other mod here, give him a break.

He BROKE a rule of the board and should at least be warned. I don't want or desire anyone else to want him to lose his modship. In fact in all honesty I thought someone may have gotten a hold of his password or something. I read through his posts and lately they seem full of anger and disrespect. He picked on the wrong person this time and if you want me to remain a member here I would think that you would apply the rules to EVERYONE.

He don't care if you stay a member or not. You mean you haven't got the "if you don't like it, then leave" remark yet. Some kind of mods. They rep. this board real good. This does not apply to all the mods. You know who you are!!!!!!!! There are a few good mods here.

Regardless of whether or not you are apart of any rev share program you still can't post links like that. Like thfcmad said in that thread, "If people sign up to the paysites on the links you posted, the site's host company pays [somebody] for the memberships they get." Now they may or may not be paying you but that still doesn't make it ok to post links like that. :2 cents:

:glugglug: I agree Jizm - I've had a few threads that went this way as well, usually over the smallest thing. Nothing to do with you, just human nature I'd guess.

I have to agree with superfly2 on this one, the thread is about profanity in rep msg's and a mod then commits the same crime to another member and publicly hurls abuse to a member. members voice there disapproval of this and thfcmad then decides to close the thread due to it having lost the point, when yet it hasn't its merely proved the point of the thread.
