Two other things that annoy me..

1) Why do the manufacturers glue the end onto the roll..sometimes I find I have to remove several layers before I find the end.

2) Also when have a double layer toilet roll and you get the top layer 'out-of-synch' with the lower..the result is a misalignment of the perforated tears between the sheets of paper...most annoying.

Two good reasons for a class action law suit!

America wants to know!!!

I don't know, you cant write on or put a sign on it that says "garbage" , the garbage man will just think you're labeling the container.
Maybe write"please take" or "please throw out" but again the same problem.
Perhaps the world will never know.

I encountered the very same problem a few years ago, but I was one step ahead of those civil servants! I disguised the ol' worn out trash can like a premium home audio system; sure, I invested a few dollars to gussie it up (surround-sound speakers, gold-plated audio cables, assorted after-market components, etc.) But just one look, that's all it took...

I sure showed them!

;)

I never have my TP on the wall mount! I just set it on the back of the tank! LOL

What's toilet paper?
I've only heard of it a few times.
In fact, I only hear of it when I first meet people.
After I shake their hand for the first time, they say I should consider using the stuff.
What stuff?!

I only set a new roll on the tank when the one on the wall mount starts getting low. :)

Your preference in mounting a roll of toilet paper...

Gee, this thread just wouldn't be complete with out being graced with a reply from the almighty Prof V!

THIS JUST IN!!!

One of our members (who contacted the creator of this thread, and who allowed his remarks to be presented only under condition of annonimity (wasn't there a motion picture by that name, the Annonimityville Horror? :dunno: ) has given notice that for those unacquainted with the particular product in question, due to an unforseen surplus of this product to such extent that literally, the "cupboard" of an acquaintance of his is precariously filled to capacity and ready to burst at the seams, a sizeable discount is now available to interested parties (no dealers, pul-eeeez!) For those interested in this proposition, please address the creator of this thread (DrMotorsilly) via p.m., with the following title "Attention: Lucy"

Now I remember. AlAnonnimity was the name of that support group developed by that guy who has a class of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers named after him.

The creator of this thread has been known to have that effect on people.

So I've heard.

You could avoid this problem by reverting back to the good old days and use dried corncobs or pine-cones.
Just be careful which direction you wipe when using the latter

I suppose if the corncobs hadn't yet arrived at the point where they could be referred to as being "dried," would that make any difference as to their overall effectiveness? Details, we must have the details! This is serious business, it can not be overstated, and of course:

America wants to know!!!

I'm the same way...or on the lid of the trashcan next to the toilet.

However...if it's on a roller, it has to be unrolled over the top. Seriously, it has to be!

I have been known to remove and 'correctly reinstall' rolls of toilet paper at work, at other peoples homes...:1orglaugh

Re: Over, Under or even Sideways Down: Your preference in mounting a roll of toilet p

Always over-the-top! That just seems the right way. This topic is an ongoing bone of contention in my household. Fortunately we have three toilets, so individual preferences can be accommodated. LMAO!

This is probably the most important thread I've participated in...

It is vitally important that we discuss such (t)issues.
