Capturing and putting to trial someone who orchestrated the murder of 3000 of our citizens seems like it should be important to me....I wonder if Osama is even that important anymore other than for sentimental reason

cheers,
3000 people in one shot, fair enough, he should be brought to trial.
What about someone who does 2000 a month (or was it a week) ? Should that person be brough to trial? I'd think so. Look no further than Bush.
look, we all know bush is wrong. lets not keep making him the scapegoat. its not just bush. its the entire us government. honestly, do you guys think dudya is smart enough to orchestrate anything? not by himself.
Thank you, it took that long to get the point out of you.
Bin Ladin is still a figurehead, a figurehead that at one point in time was under the employ and sponsership of the US government. Back when the Hanbali values were attuned to what the States wanted based off a fatwa that declared communism an "offense". Now, do you think Bin Ladin planned, deployed and trained the people who were involved in the attack? Probably not. It doesn't make him any less innocent, much like my case against Bush. I bring this up because in all facts of the word, Bin Laden gets used as a scapegoat whereas the actual issue is completely avoided in a twist of words and policy.
So I tell you again, it doesn't matter if Bin Laden is dead or alive, what matters is that the less we think about him now the better it is for Bush.

Isn't that line from an Elvis song?Everytime a Terrorist Mastermind dies, there is kid born in to a terrorist family...
...Just like any other person that did what he did and is still trying to do, I would try to apprehend him, but I wouldn't put an disproportionate amount of resources into it to the point of reducing your chance to stop targets that are even more likely to do you harm in the meantime.

The USA can't even find out who killed Biggie and PAC
Yeah I think it's just a bit different than killing over 3,000 people in one "slap"!hate to break this news to you mate, but i don't think they really care.
Have you said that to the families of the victims?Getting him for justice is a sentimental reason.
I'm not speaking of sentiment - Justice is never about sentiment. Dude just murdered 3000 of our fellow citizens and he should be punished for his crimes.Getting him to stop more terrorist plots is a tactical one, and we want him just as much for sentiment as we do any other reason.
That's not the point. As far as being a terrorist mastermind that will drastically reduce the amount of terror on the world when he is caught, he isn't as important as he used to be. Just like any other person that did what he did and is still trying to do, I would try to apprehend him, but I wouldn't put an disproportionate amount of resources into it to the point of reducing your chance to stop targets that are even more likely to do you harm in the meantime.
well I think he is hidden somewhere in the forbidden areas of Pakistan. I don't think he is dead but very sick. The best judgement for him would have his head blown by a cal 50 bmg bullet. One canadian sniper killed a taliban chief with a cal 50 rifle from a distance of 2450m. This is the kind of death Ben Laden desserves.
