OCSM of the Week 2016

I'm not going to quote everything because the conversation has past more than 3 posts, but I agree with most of what has been said. I do think it's important to get new girls in here and not just pop in that first week that they're nominated, but to want to keep coming back. For instance, Ivy has been a wonderful addition and I love to see her keep coming back every week. The number of wins needed to get into the OOTWOTY has basically been two, so if people are eliminated after that then we'd be out of active OCSMs halfway through the year. I'm willing to give almost any gimmick a try as long as it's not too complicated. If we want to do something, like every first week of the month is for new OCSMs or ladies that haven't won yet thats fine with me. Keep the suggestions coming and we'll try what people like. We want to try to keep this thread fun for everybody (or as many people as we can)

I have given this much thought and I think Cestmoi makes a fair point. It is the same winners being recycled week on week. Yes, they may well be the active ocsm's but it must be disheartening for anyone else who has not spent the time here and built up their own fans.
Wouldn't it be good to get some of the new OCSM's who are registering involved in this, without the result being a foregone conclusion? Obviously when I am nommed, I like to win, it goes against the grain not to, given my previous experiences of the wasted vote etc. Remember when #TeamTart came last some years ago... it made me determined to do better.
I have been very lucky to have been given the support, by so many people on here and don't want to disrespect their loyalty in anyway. I know the efforts everyone went to, to win all the contests and finally make me MissFreeones 2014.
Can anyone come up with a way to attract new contenders, I am very happy to continue playing or just say that if you have won a number of weeks, that gets you to the final and step aside to let some less well known girls have a shot at it.
The idea I had about not being nommed if you had won the previous week worked to some extent, maybe something could be done along those lines and extended to say a month away. That would give scope for lots of new winners.
Anyway, just my thoughts.

My post WAS a KNOCK on the process. Seeing the same people win every other week does no one any good at all. With as many OCSM as we have here having the same person win every few weeks is not a good thing. There have been some great suggestions and in reality there is no "easy" answer here

To say someone can only win once every "X" weeks is "reverse discrimination" and that is not good. I see this in colleges where they have to admit a certain number of a certain race/sex/religion/etc and so because of that someone who is worthy, and better than those being admitted because of some factor other than what should be considered, gets left out. That might be even worse than discrimination.

To have an OCSM win that really didn't deserve to win but only did because only a few others could enter, is not good although I do think limiting someone to only being to win once every 6-8 weeks is a good thing.

I love pizza. But I know if I eat pizza every day I won't love it as much as if I eat it once every 7-14 days.

i think 6-8 weeks is too much. every third week could be ok or once a month, though im not sure if thats 100% necessary
