Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize 2009

I am happy to read the general tenor of this thread, as espoused by the anti-Obamas, is that Obama hasn't done anything "Peace" worthy to have received this award.

The most obvious thing for Obama to do to justify the legacy of this award is by ending the 2 useless, quagmire wars we're currently stuck in.

I think the left and the wack finally come to a consensus on something. Now, if only Obama will follow through on our wishes....

President Obama would have been the President for just 11 days !!!!

Just think the person or persons who nominated him prepared this before he even become the President but has won the nomination and the Presidency.

The person probably nominated President obama is Valeria Jarrett from Chicago and she has this in her mind way back after winning the Election.

What did he do to even get nominateed?

By winning the Election and the proposal was written somewhere between November and December and submiitted to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee in January, 2009. Obama may not even been the President of United States then when he was nominated.

Even if the Nobel Peace Prize Committee closed the nomination somewhere around Feb., 2009, Obama would have been the President no more than 3 - 3 1/2 weeks !!

The official closing date is around January 31, 2009 but can be extended no more than 2 weeks around Feb 14, 2009 !

Let's for a minute pretend that your idea of a safe haven under Reagan was true and that an absence of terrorist attacks is the mark of competent leadership emanating from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Would it not then follow that the lack of terrorist attacks under the current administration would likewise be regarded as a sign of good leadership?

Or is it bad to not have terrorist attacks under a democcratic president as it might encourage the election of another one? To me that does seem quite a high price to pay but if it makes you happy I guess that's the most important thing.

There are many more covert operations in which American CIA agents were involved and revenge took place with numerous American death in central and south America.

All the problems related to 9/11 can be traced back to Reagan who ordered the CIA to supply stink missiles and drove the Russian out. Now the Muslims came back and killed close to 3,000 people at the World Trade Center !

I just went back to New York World Trade Center, Reagan and Clinton are responsible for the 3,000 American lives lost !!!!!! :eek:
