Obama wins Jackass nomination

Yup... looks like the Dems just show themselves in the foot for the fall. Yet Clnton still refuses to drop out.... maybe she has something up her sleave?

I heard somewhere someone with the FBI said Obama wouldn't even pass their credentials test to be in the FBI.... yet we are going to make him commander in chief during wartime? sad pathetic world we are living in. I know Bush might not meet those standards either but it wasn't a war time presidency when he came into office... it wasn't really until 9-11

Hopefully America will wake up and realize Barack is essentially nothing more than a meaner black version of Jimmy Carter except his wife and him have admitted flat out that they hate our country

I did passed the FBI investigation. It took more than 8 months, with more than 30 pages application form, included last 10 years addresses, etc. By the way, I did worked the Bureau in the Southern District of Mississippi. That was more than 15 years ago !

But I think you are a disgraceful person. ignorant and plain stupid !

And half of Clinton's staff failed background checks too ...

Is this any different than a lot of civilian leaders or other people in the White House?

I think many people forget that Bill Clinton first action as President was to suspend testing and background checks on his incoming staffers, after over 50% were failing hardcore drug tests (not merely just weed) -- it wasn't "gays in the military."

And that's hardly unique. W.'s background isn't the absolute cleanest. Hell, both W. and even McCain (post-Vietnam) had "questionable" service records -- although I will give McCain an excuse because he spent a half-decade in the Hanoi Hilton (and it took a lot time for him to get over that).

I know Bush might not meet those standards either but it wasn't a war time presidency when he came into office... it wasn't really until 9-11
Not true at all! The Clinton administration coined the term War on Terror in 1998. W. used several of his Executive Orders post-9/11 until several became part of Law in the Patriot Act.

Hopefully America will wake up and realize Barack is essentially nothing more than a meaner black version of Jimmy Carter except his wife and him have admitted flat out that they hate our country
Wow! I guess everything really is (pun) Black'n White (pun) to you?

So who would you really want to be the Democratic nominee. Mrs. Hillary Clinton ??????????

The fact is the media has disclosed a lot of her campaign spending in the early days.

Mrs. Hillary Clinton spent well over $350,000.00 tried to buy "Black" votes in S. Carolina Primary which backfired.

I have looked very closely how Mrs. Clinton spent her money, close to $9,000.00 in pizza just in Iowa. She finished third. She is the evil one, corrupted !!!!

The fact is if McSame, McCain or McBride of Mr. Bush wins, let it be !

Because there are many igorant people in this world. Whoever wins the nomination be a White woman or a Black man makes no difference.

It is not the color, or the gender or the religion that makes up a person. But the real character makes up the person !

If you want the McBride of Mr. Bush to win, fine ! We will stay in Iraq for another 100 years and spend 500 trillion dollars and the gas price will go up to 15 dollars a gallon !

Obama seems like a plant. Everything about his meteoric rise to this position seems dubious. Everything about him; his landslide victory over Keyes in 04' following the Jack Ryan scandal - which was just suspicious timing altogether; the fact he was ushered to the 04' Dem. convention to give the Keynote address; the fact that he has voted "not present" so many times in Senate; the fact that we know so little about his positions. Even his father and mother are rarely talked about. Where are they? Seems like a good man, and charismatic, talented speaker, but I don't get this unbelievable rise to stardom.

Yeah...Obama's a plant for the U.N. He's gonna take us down to hell...

Oh yeah, and McCain is the reincarnation of the devil himself. Vote Nader, Barr or Paul.

Nice thread title lol.
All this talk about Obama being a real threat to anything is ridiculous IMO.But so is the unbridled adoration he seems to get.I think this may be the worst time in a long time to have the position of the Presidency as the times are going to be tough and the govt will be able to only marginally affect that.Has Obama been short on specifics as to what "change" means,I think he has.But then again what can he say? I will fix gas prices(he can't in the near future,no one can),I will stop the growth of the new economies of the world that we are going to have to compete with(nope nobody can do that eithier)? Yes he has said things about gas prices, but he has no real specific proposal that would somehow reduce them especially since any thing that would really reduce our dependence on oil would take much longer than 4 or even 8 years. But make no mistake about it for the average person he would be better than McCain and more responsive to them,as any dem would be.
But putting whats best aside it is true that Obama faces huge challenges being elected IMO.He has not finished the primary season very strongly, losing more of the 2nd half primaries than he won, even though he had multiple times more money and was seen as going to be the eventual nominee.Chalk that up to whatever you want, racism, lack of intelligence, whatever, but it is a fact and it shows his weakness as a candidate among some large segments of the electorate.I really fear that since he is still so new to the scene that the pubs tactics will be to reinforce all the the things that his church have been famous for to define him.It may be valid to talk about america and whites in the way that has been heard at that church but that will not play well and has not with moderate white america.
It's clear to me the dems are risking what should be an easy win in Nov.The Pubs nominated McCain who was easily the strongest potential candidate for them. While the dems IMO went for their weakest candidate.Edwards would have been their stongest pick and yes Hillary would have been the next strongest.Obama is going to have to do something to bring those groups that he has had trouble with and who voted for Hillary to his side to win in Nov.This is going to be a big year for the dems as the pub brand as they say is so damaged right now.Big majority's in the senate and house are almost assured.Obama being elected IMO will really depend on how things look especially with the economy when the election comes round, the worse things look the more likely he will be elected. But if things are only so-so and things are essentially the same as now he may be in trouble.Just look at the polls now, dems are overwhelminly supported by the country now as the party who should be in charge but Obama has a very slight lead over McCain. If Edwards especially was the candidate I think those polls would be much wider for him.
One last thing I would say is that people who will be voting will be voting for one of the 2 major parties this time with little amount of votes for any 3rd party runs.None of the 3rd party's have any real distinct message that is reasonating and they have no money to boot.

His father died in a car accident. His mother died in 1994 of ovarian cancer.

Did you know Mrs. Hillary Clinton's parents and where are they now?

At least Obama's grandmother is still in Hawaii. His sister is still in Hawaii as a school teacher.

How much do you know about Mccain or Mcsame. And do you know McSame slept with more women than Bill Clinton.

Was McCain a naturalized citizen? McCain was not even born in United States continent !! Get the fact right !

You are correct, and he should never be president - he wasn't even born on US soil - although it was a military installment, from what I understand. I think McCain needs to take some sanity tests to prove he doesn't have a temper with his finger on a nuke or that he isn't senile. I understand there is an age limit to Federal employee work time rights (Jesse Ventura stated on CNN), and McCain, in addition to other super-duper senior members of the Senate like Robert Byrd and Ted Kennedy, who has been there since the 60's  have no right to be sitting up there since whatever year they have been there. Now tell me how crazy that is: A president is allowed 8 years, but a senator is allowed 50 years? There needs to be a statute on that. That's just crazy, IMO.

Not to digress, It's just that everything surrounding Obama's rise seems fishy. It's like the system set it up. MHO.

I'll make a prediction: McCain/lame will win it and bow out as a quack after 4 years. Then, Obama will win it in 12'. It's clear, however, that whoever does get it, will be in a world of s---, because the world is not stable right now. I have heard several different theories on where gas prices will be by next year, and I don't like it. Gas is so crucial right now, it's sad. It affects everything. I heard one person say we would be upwards of $6 a gallon next year this time. See ya', America.

I'm one of those "crazy" :hatsoff: people that are actually going to vote for a 3rd party. Would'nt it be nice if it actually counted?

the fact that he has voted "not present" so many times in Senate; the fact that we know so little about his positions.

The "not present" votes were in the Illinois state Senate, not the US Senate. Obama has explained the state senate votes many times.

Obama's position papers are available to be read on the Internet or listen to his speeches. Criticisms like yours reveal your lack of knowledge, not Obama's failings as a candidate. An informed criticism would be appreciated and make you look knowledgeable.

The fact is www.CBS.com received thousands and thousands of hate emails , racist emails proved this country still has many closet KKK racists.

I believe everyone deserves a Chance to make Chances.

It is just too early to see what Obama is going to do. Give him a Chance !

Oh man I really shouldn't laugh.
It's actually scary that people this ignorant are allowed to vote.

She publicly said that she has never been proud of our country and I am the one that is "ignorant"? His answer for high gas prices is to tax the commodity even more and I am the one that is "ignorant"? I could go on like this all night, but the essential point is that you my friend are the ignorant one. Just another Obama Kool-Aid drinker who thinks he is better than everyone else and instead of wanting to debate merits just relies on the ambiguous term "change" in his arguments.

I agree that it is depressing some people still follow such racist thinking. A lot of people, myself included, though want him to fail not because of his race but because of his tried and failed socialist policies. indeed, I think a Black president is long past due and would have supported Colin Powell or Condi Rice if given the chance. Obama does deserve a chance to run. But it should be on fair terms, not this love affair the media is having with him. Make him make clearer statements on what he really believes since not everyone is going to do the research. Stop relying on ambigous phrases like "change" and "yes we can" and start talking policy. The problem is, however, he is going to avoid policy discussions as much as possible because he knows the American people are not in step with most of his views. I am going to fight against him and his supporters tooth and nail before they make our country even worse.

Don't like McCain either but he is the better of two evils imho. At least Nader is running again to cut into Obama a little.
