Obama at War With America

This president wants to take away guns. Why do conservatives get so 'up in arms' ::chuckle:: about firearms?
....
Are we so insecure that we actually need to keep a gun or two around for that once-in-a-lifetime moment when a burglar is taking our crap? To save the cashier at wendy's from getting robbed?
....
Honestly how skilled are most of you with using a gun? Can you shoot worth a shit? Can you take a life? ::rolls eyes::
Love the opening line, well wrote Torre, still laughing.
....
Please to refer to this post, let the bitch die... McNugget whores
....
You, Me, and a select few here know our way around an AR-15/AK47, and pistols, ect ect. Yeah I know exactly what you mean bro. Some of us even in the armed services can't kill.

Great Post!!!

In this bill in order to purchase a firearm you must have a license to own a firearm. Nice way for the government to keep tabs on what the American people currently own so when they come in the middle of the night to take them they can come in with an appropriate tactical plan.

The government... telling you that you can't take of yourself, so we'll dictate your life for you.

Do you really think that the U.S. government is going to take your guns away? Really? A meteor has a better chance of hitting the earth than that happening.

This stance by Holder has been the best thing that ever happen to the firearms industry! They are flying off the shelf. I have a friend who teaches firearms training and every class is booked solid.

I hold no love for the N.R.A. or reactionary points like this. I own 3 guns and seriously doubt someone is going to knock on my door and take them away.

I have far better things to worry about now these days like the recession!

It's no wonder America is in the state it's in today. Everybody is fighting amongst themselves, right against left, republican against democrats, black against white. You live in a society that's designed the keep the population afraid, the media and the government, they all keep you afraid but still you don't want to see it. You just keep proclaiming America to be the greatest country on earth while bitching and moaning against each other and when all else fails you shout socialism from the top of your lungs every time Obama opens his mouth.

Very true.
But a lot of people are psychologically invested in believing otherwise, which makes it difficult to reason with them.

Yes, and eventually they will. Sure, I'll admit, it's probably not going to happen overnight. It will happen in little steps at a time each consecutive one only a little bit worse and going a little bit further than the previous one so people won't be as upset like if it happened at once. Plus it will keep some people from realizing what has happened until it's too late. That's to say nothing of future generations that won't be able to readily get them at all to take away in the first place. Their infringement against the Second Amendment is probably the worst thing Democrats have done in their history, and honestly their biggest flaw along with treating the rest of the constitution like it's a suggestion instead of the highest law of the land. I think if they would have just gotten off it a long time ago they would have pulled ahead of the Republicans, maybe permanently.

more Republican crying. somebody call the whambulance.
you guys got served in the election, we had to deal with bush for 8 years and that is why. al gore was a bigger douche bag anyways tho, so yeah fuck politics i am with carlin.

It has not happened so far or ever. Please this has been going for a long time.

Here is a blast from Clinton's time and he was supposed to be in the same game as Obama.

Obama is “limiting” the 2nd Amendment through his Attorney General Eric Holder who has quietly introduced legislation to curtail ownership of guns by individuals throughout our United States.

Berg stated, “Wake up America! Obama is attempting to limit your gun ownership rights by secretly introducing legislation through Attorney General Eric Holder, said legislation to curtail gun ownership!”
Berg continued, “ It is very important to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. [I learned about this from the Peter Boyles radio program.] Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar. To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009.

You Americans can USE a little curtailing of your ownership of guns! I like and support America and Americans as a whole... but seriously, the love and worship of gun culture some of you have scares the be-jeezus out of me!

He's a plant! :helpme:

We have our rights and we will keep them, no "curtailing" needed.

People who don't like the laws like they are can gladly look for another country to live. :hatsoff:

From the Associated Press -
Stocks turn in worst performance for new president

NEW YORK (AP) — The election of Barack Obama offered the promise of a new set of fixes for the financial crisis and the economy, a do-over that might help nurse the stock market back to health.

Since then, the market hasn't just gotten worse — it's turned in its worst performance ever for a new president.

The Dow Jones industrial average has fallen 21 percent during Obama's first seven weeks in office. Count back to Election Day and the results are even bleaker: That afternoon, the Dow closed at 9,625. Now it stands at 6,547, a loss of 32 percent.

.."I couldn't care less about people that were fortunate enough to have had the ability to invest in the stock market. After all, I've had to live from paycheck to paycheck all of my damnable life ! why should I care about the stock market ?"

Me -

..You should care about the stock market because the majority of stock holders on this day are largely the investment(s) of our 62 + (senior citizens) i.e. retired peoples' long term, life saving investments, that's why you should care ! Do you want our elderly population to lose all of their investments ?

After all, the younger, insider trader type, hot shot investors fled the market in March 2008. Watch what you wish for, envious jerk-affs ! :thefinger

Really ? It's funny, the other day I went to shoot some long range exercises, well, fairly long range rifle shooting anyway i.e. (300 - 500 yard ranges) and I must tell you that on that day, I met the most wonderful and diverse cross section of people that I have ever met in my life !!! In no other scenario could I have imagined meeting the people I met on that day. Talk about bringing the races together. :D

This was the most friendly exchange of conversation that I've had in recent memory, real people with real conversation between, by all accounts, very straightforward people that look you in the eye when they talk to you.
This was great, as there was no organization involved, whoever showed up did so, it was just a regular day at this facility.
Many of the group, myself included, exchanged email contact addresses . . what a great day !

Whats to be scared about ? :dunno:

This stance by Holder has
What, about The Second Amendment not being an individual right ?
been the best thing that ever happen to the firearms industry!
For the firearms industry maybe, but not necessarily for the people
They are flying off the shelf. I have a friend who teaches firearms training and every class is booked solid.
Somehow I believe that this will only further antagonize this particular administration.
I

Aw, c'mon EAH, there's activism on both sides of the issue. In order to sustain certain rights it is most important that we not take them for granted. No harm, no fowl . . . errrr foul. :D

I doubt it too, although, in the state of which I reside, the politicians are gradually encroaching on the right. Jump through hoop central, with all of the unnecessary paperwork to fill out, the gun dealers have to comply or else ! Some dealers either have to close their shops for good or hire a full time bookkeeper to manage all of the intricate coercive and nonsensical paper work for each firearm sold because when the atf makes their random drop ins to check out a dealers file, they often pull the license of the dealer if the paperwork isn't just so.

All that said, you may not immediately recognize the incremental iincroachment on our Second Amendment Rights but I do. They're constantly being challenged and by golly, um a not gunna just roll over to their nonsense. Awareness First !

no time to proof read, sorry, gotta go ! :whoosh:------------------------------>

Of course the 2nd Amendment is being challenged-no rational person can see there is any need for it , it belonged to an age long gone.It offers few real benefits but a whole lot of problems not to mention 30 000 deaths every year. The rest of the world seems to get along quite nicely without it and is just amazed at why Americans think it's a good thing or benefits them in any way except for doctors and morticians.

It's the teeth in the right of revolution this country was founded on.
Sure in this day and age a people's uprising would most likely prove futile, but depending on circumstances it could conceivably be quite effective. In a worst case scenario Americans will never be loaded en masse on trains and shipped to gas chambers to be passively exterminated. If we're fated to die at the hands of a tyrannical government we can at least chose to die fighting. That distinction may not register with the rest of the world, but it resonates powerfully here.
