Do we move the discussion about being allowed to get a gun permit and have one firearm or two at your home you want to keep safe or for carrying concealed for times you are going places you probably will face situations where a handgun can help...

to the unsane and unhealthy deregulated and widespread possession of war weaponry on police force and persons who want to walk around with AK-47s and such?

Who will say there are no unsafe places in the USA? Those areas exist, and they are wider spread, thanks to your economic and overall policies. And you will experience more and more of them, and it will become more violent.

The answer isn't becominga soldier in your own country, matter of factly. When you take it further, this will become the consequence.

And the NRA will love it, because they are somewhat the drug dealer who shoves more heat into the flames, and provides you with both gasoline and matches,

Think the fire will keep you sagfe? No, it will cause opposition go harder on you.

I have been thinking about the USA in terms off its universal view on its role and a lot of issues. By now, regarding weapons, my impression is:

Talking to US citizens about their relationship to gun control is a lot like talking to an active alcoholic about him handling his booze.

I do try to not respond to every little thing that comes up in this section, But when I sit transfixed, rereading and rereading...well, the result is inevitable.

What exactly is our "universal view on our role"? And while we're here, what is Germany's "universal view of it's role"?

And talking to Europeans about gun control is like talking to people who choose to forget their own histories and collective history.

Still waiting for your answers.

Have you smelled a French vagina? For the people who named the douche they seem to have forgotten the technology.

Stinky French pussy is an obvious no go zone.

All the countries you mentioned are/have been involved in bloody and brutal civil wars and all within living memory. Are you seriously suggesting that living in America is akin to living in Syria??
When you're a white christian conservative, living in America is like living in ISIS controled territory ; You are constantly assaulted by blacks, mexicans, liberals, atheits and gays.

Talking History with americans is like talking sex with a nun.

Talking History with americans is like talking sex with a nun.

Meaning what, exactly? What history would you like to discuss? And what history have you tried to talk about with an American, to what dismal result?

In other words, do you actually have something to say or are you just continuing your hitting streak of being a tiresome little bitch?

Jindal stuck after spreading discredited myth

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/jindal-stuck-after-spreading-discredited-myth

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R), as expected, traveled to London yesterday and delivered a striking set of remarks, arguing among other things, “It is startling to think that any country would allow, even unofficially, for a so-called ‘no-go zone.’”

To briefly recap, far-right voices have pushed a line, amplified by conservative media, that in Britain and elsewhere, there are Muslim-majority communities in which non-Muslims – even local law enforcement – simply do not go. In reality, these “no-go zones” do not exist, a point even Fox News conceded over the weekend.

Jindal nevertheless continues to pretend the far-right myth is real, adding that “Islam has a problem.” In his remarks yesterday, referring to Muslims, the Louisiana Republican and likely presidential candidate went on to say, “t is their problem, and they need to deal with it.”

After the speech, Jindal told NBC News that he supports “legal immigration,” but added, “n many ways, you’re looking at folks that want to come and, in some ways, they want to overturn our culture they want to come in and almost colonize our countries.”

In a separate interview with CNN, Jindal continued to push the “no-go zones” argument, prompting a British interviewer to say, “You have to have proper facts to back that up. I’ve lived here a long time; I don’t know of any ‘no-go zones.’” The Republican replied:

“Well, I did say ‘so-called no-go zones.’ I think that the radical left absolutely wants to pretend like this problem is not here. Pretending it’s not here won’t make it go away.”

Remember, Jindal’s the one who said he wants Republicans to stop being “the stupid party.”

The interview between the governor and CNN’s Max Foster continued to be cringe-worthy:

FOSTER: Exaggerating [a possible problem] to “no-go zones” is also going too far.

JINDAL: There are people here in London who will tell you there are neighborhoods where women don’t feel safe walking through those neighborhoods without veils. There are neighborhoods where the police are less likely to go. That’s a dangerous thing.

FOSTER: When you make an assertion like that, you need to give me the area, so we can look at it, because I haven’t heard of one.

When Jindal said there are dangerous parts of London where people are uncomfortable, Foster explained that there are areas with higher crime rates, but “it’s not because there are too many Muslims there.”

Jindal replied, “I know the left wants to make this into an attack on religion and that’s not what this is.”

Got it. The far-right Republican just delivered a speech in which he said “Islam has a problem,” and brazenly sticks to a lie about imaginary “no-go zones” for non-Muslims, but it’s “the left” that “wants to make this into an attack on religion.”

It’s certainly possible that Republican presidential primary voters will find Jindal’s paranoid incoherence persuasive, but for everyone else, Jindal’s British escapade was more shameful than presidential.

This is the second MSNBC story I've quoted in, like, 10 minutes, but I swear I'm being directed to them by Google News.

And I'm wondering, why do Republicans keep traveling to England and pissing everybody off? First Romney with his Olympics comments and now Jindal being Jindal. WTF?

I like Jindal just fine and he seems like a nice guy but he really needs to worry about legitimate no go zones such as the ones in Nawlins and Baton Rouge before he starts ragging on cities elsewhere.

Well OK, Mr. Dissatisfied. You're just a few hours away. Hop in the car and head for Mogadishu, Illin.....I mean E. St Louis, Illinois. In the 15 minutes you have left, take note of the slathers of law enforcement and government control.

Don't misunderstand what I'm saying, I'm in no way saying those are wonderful neighborhoods. But I still wouldn't call East St.Louis or some of the neighborhoods here in Chicago that were mentioned as no-go zones. They're just bad neighborhoods that's all.

I can tell the very and artificially misinformed Mr. Foster what are the no-go zones in London, having myself lived in the city for 4 years:

Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, Acton, Luton, to name the very worst ones.

An interesting two years old reading for Mr. Foster and all the negationists (i'm being ironic, of course, as i already know that they will not find it interesting or of any importance at all):
