The availability of any technology causes the urge to use it. In any situation with several options, the possibility to end it finally is dangerous, if ending means ending the other participant.

OK so i clicked on about 10 different points on the map on that site to see what the incident was where the gun 'saved a life'.

Every link i clicked on was an example of someone either scaring away robbers or intruders, and none mentioned whether or not they were armed or if the lives of the people they were robbing were at risk.

Three of the 10 links mentioned how the intruder/robber was shot and killed by the 'good' guy.

All of this from a site called Guns Saves Lives.....

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
what a load of horse shit.

So are you saying that if someone in the Charlie Hebdo office had been carrying a gun at their place of work then there could have been less people killed?

Could you please tell me which national magazine offices in America allow their employees to bring firearms to work?

Of course having the right to bear arms in America means that you don't have to deal with people going on killing sprees in schools, cinemas, car parks etc... oh, wait a minute...

And what about the Fort Hood shootings in 2009 which took place in.... a military base?

I cant be certain, but i think there is a good chance that some of the people in that base could have been armed, yet still 13 people were killed.

Yes, I am saying that. I'm not saying no one would have died, but maybe one of the criminals could have been taken out...maybe all, maybe none, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Mayhem answered this...but as far as news papers, since most are sad pathetic liberal rags, suitable for only lining bird cages, not many.

Yes, we do...in all of the areas that prohibit the rights to carry firearms. We have a lot of guns in this country, and if you take the number of gun owners, vs. the number of mass shootings, the percentage is minuscule. France on the other hand, has NO prevision for carrying a gun. I'm certain they aren't allowed anything semi automatic...yet they were slaughtered by automatic weapons...and I'm fairly certain, you still haven't got the common sense it takes, to see what is wrong with that picture.

Mayhem answered that

Oh, and I might talk a load of shit........but that doesn't make it any less correct. Nor does it prove any point you've tried to make.

Credit to them for recognising they made mistakes and apologizing for them. Sad it took them so long. Sad such things have been said on air in the first place.

Supa, don't get sucked into Johan's gun shit. That video was absolute nonsense. 89 guns per 100 people in USA? Where are they? Are you suggesting that there are almost as many guns owned as cars on the road? You want to do simple math? 0 guns = 0 gun deaths. 0 people also = 0 gun deaths.

So the only magazines that you could think of just happened to be firearm and hunting magazines? Do the writers of 'American Cross Stitch Weekly' go to work armed too?

One more time, you asked a question and I answered it. And my answer is in no way limited to just the magazines listed. And I should point out that I was going to (comically) add a magazine like your 'American Cross Stitch Weekly', but I didn't. The guy that's accusing me of being a wise ass did.

To answer your question in regards to Ukraine, I was there a little over six months ago with work and I was unarmed the whole time and was perfectly safe thank you.

I didn't ask about a work trip. I asked about living there.

Strange choice of countries to compare America with too. Syria, Bosnia, Rwanda, Ukraine... I dont know what point you are making here.

No, you don't, do you? These are all countries where the unarmed, civilian populace was/is absolutely brutalized by anyone with a gun that came/comes along. These are countries where being defenseless is the number one cause of death. These countries put the absolute lie to America being the only country where gun related atrocities happen.

[NOBABE]Jeanine Pirro[/NOBABE]'s voice just keeps getting deeper and deeper, she's going to knock [NOBABE]Anne Coulter[/NOBABE] out as the far right's most visible transvestite.

I am sorry man, but Jeanine Pirro is a damn good looking woman especially for her age. Coulter not so much.

Let's look at a photo of Hillary Clinton in 2011-2012 the same age as Pirro now.

Or the babelicious Elizabeth Warren 2 years ago at the same age as Pirro

And finally Pirro now at their exact ages..

I normally wouldn't respond to such nonsense but it just goes to show how unbelievably petty you become when it comes to politics.

Since you are a Jersey boy, what would be the over and under on my survival if I brought my white ass into Camden?

It's been decades, so I don't really know. My dad worked at Campbell Soup (in Camden) until he switched over to Ralston Purina. So there's the difference. Camden had/has some industry. E. St. Louis was just a wasteland, and seems to still be.

Years ago a coworker told a story about her dad stopped for gas in E. St Louis and the attendant completely twigged and said, "Get out of here whiteboy, you're going to get killed." And when I lived in St Louis, even the campaign commercials for mayor of E. St. L couldn't hide how completely fucked the place was. A quick Wiki check says that it has higher rape and murder rates than Honduras. I've had occasion to drive through the area a couple times and I always make sure to load up on gas and check oil well outside "the zone."

Fuck! I have been to East Saint Louis Illinois. I was a young Padawan but my parents drove through there (probably on the interstate) and never stopped there but I distinctly remember going there as we crossed out of Missouri. I think I was about 14 or 15 in the early 80's.

That's when I was there. I used to be an armed guard when friends of mine went over to a place called Pot in the Box to buy weed. Things would get bleak in the 'burbs, and that's where we headed when it did. Daylight only, and it wasn't technically in E. St. L. I'd be in the passenger seat with a .357, but nothing ever happened. Again daylight, and as I recall there was a safe corridor. Money's money, but you didn't push your luck.
