Re: the Official Nikki Nova thread
Thank you Jon. It wouldn't be NEARLY so hard if it wasn't so hot. I got up at 4:00 am this morning hopefully to deal with a lot of the upstairs while it was at it's coolest but it was already in the 90's and in the upstairs of my actual house it was well above 100 fr some reason so today and tomorrow (actual moving day) are going to be the WORST. Not a good time for the A/C to be out of commision but hey....at least it will be over soon right? There's a lot of jumping in my pool and coming back in to pack in front of the fans going on. hahaha. Upstairs is honestly the WORST though. I have people coming to take more stuff I am getting rid of today/ Another truckload to charity and friends coming to take stuff as well. That wil clear out a lot of space and make me feel like I am making more progress than it seems. Wish me luck guys! In the final stretch! 48 hyrs to go!
See, that's another prime example of what makes you an incredibly SPECIAL person. You're right in the middle of an uber INSANE week, doing something that nobody enjoys (moving), and doing so in the middle of temperatures better fitting for Hell (and without your central air at that), and still you think of others through your strong sense of being charitable. Unlike most people these days who are only concerned with squeezing evey dime out of everything, you'd rather give it away to help others. I know anyone who comes into contact with you is all the richer for it & anyone who is priviliged enough to be able to genuinely call you a friend is truly fortunate indeed! I for one KNOW I am, and on both counts!
Now, of course I wish you luck...you know I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you as you head for the finish line & I sincerely hope you are able to finally get the relaxation you so richly deserve come Friday. I'm still sending you all the love and positive energy in the world my dear (along with a GIGANTIC virtual hug and kiss) & I hope, even if in some small way, it helps see you through the week and beyond! xoxoxoxoxo
eh, i was just trying to instigate Who??? into posting. sometimes he needs sometimes he needs some prodding to come out of his hidey hole, clearly it didnt work.
Why didn't YOU just call him a sidewinding old polecat? :dunno: I bet that would have worked better! Ha ha ha! (yes, I AM watching Bonanza right now...why'd you ask? Ha ha ha!)
sounds like i dont have to tell you to stay hydrated, but i hope you dont work yourself too hard in that heat.
And Nikki, jitna is right. Heat exhaustion, and worse Heat stroke are very bad business. So make sure you're taking care of yourself.
You're right...it is no joke...and by the time you realize you have a problem...it's already too late. As most of you might remember, I had a VERY bad episode of it not that long ago. I would sweat uncontrollably and almost blacked out several times (might have once actually), and I thought I'd have to go to the hospital (should have really...or called an ambulance anyway). Right when I would think I was over it, it came back again...like in waves...and nothing, A/C, fluids, etc. would help....took hours before I was back to normal...so yeah....like I said...NO JOKE!
Now, of course I can be a typical STUPID guy at times....and that was one such case. Nikki on the other hand is very much aware of all things health related & she's a very intelligent woman...so, I have all the faith in the world that she is smart enough not to pull something stupid like I did.
Sorry about that jitna. I've had a lot going on here too. Except for a rare occasion, like the other night, I haven't had as much time as I would like.
other stuff? youve got something better to do than post on this thread? i think you need to get your priorities in check
Yes, as hard as it might be to believe, most of us have to deal with that pesky little inconvenience called THE REAL WORLD (which MUST be the TOP priority for us all)!!! (and I don't mean the MTV show either...ha ha ha)
