No doubt about it jitna...it's as hot as Hell all over right now. I saw that 32 States are under a heat warning right now, and the heat index in the Minnesota and Illinois section of the country was supposed to be near 110.....Hell that's worse than where I am. Heck, it was 101 degrees (actual temp.) in Harrisburg (near where I grew up) yesterday!!! Now granted they will get some relief before I do...but still! DAMN!!!!! That's why I suspect this will be my last summer in this area...SERIOUSLY!!!! My health could be better and it could be worse...but still, the humidity and heat do a double beat down on me! UGH!!!!!

Finally, sending lots of love, positive energy, and strength your way Nikki! I know D-Day is here with your move and all, and hopefully things are falling into place for you, & you finally get to get some much needed and deserved rest tomorrow. Then you can start on your big summer tour/travels before finally making your big move to Canada! Though it might sound cliche...America's loss is DEFINITELY Canada's gain sweetie!

i dont know about the rest of the country but it just feels like summer down here. its supposed to be hot in the dirrrty south


as for Nikki, i hope everything works out today. i know there was some worry, but hopefully itll be nothing to bad. good luck, Nikki

In stark contrast to your heatwave conditions up north our temps down here have been sitting in the mid 60's for a few weeks now, but it is the middle of winter so nothing to drastic l guess.

Sending some cool breezes up your way Nikki and guys and l hope everything goes good for you Nikki.

That's what I was going to say...Nikki DEFINITELY needs some cool breezes right about now with it being so hot as Hell right now (heat index is probably near 120 during the day right now), all of the physical work she has to do, and the fact that her A/C not working and her having only portable units in a few rooms. I don't think even thinking cool thoughts would do a lot of good in that kind of an environment. MISERABLE!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!

Well jitna, as you are aware, Nikki has a shit load of work to do, and she's basically doing it all herself......so YEAH!

Now, since you asked and are not familiar with them....and I'm sure there are other visitors to this thread who might be in the same boat...I'm including some pictures of various types of 8-Track Tape players, a picture of some 8-Track Tapes, and a picture of the inside of an 8-Track Tape! I'm not sure if anyone releases anything on 8-Track anymore (if so, it would be to serve a niche market), but their heyday would have been the 60's and 70's...and by the early to mid-80's they weren't really releasing any new stuff on them anymore.

Hi Jon S.! Thanks for taking your time to give me an answer, and make me realize that I was very confused about what 8-Tracks really were. Furthermore, and to be 100% honest with you, this is the very 1st time I see those "museum" devices! Ha ha ha! :rofl2:

No problem! I kind of figured you REALLY weren't familiar with them since you had confused them for vinyl singles. Like I said, 8-Tracks had a 2 decade or so heyday, then they faded in favor of cassettes. I'm sure they still have a niche following, but there probably isn't much, if anything new that's released on 8-Track anymore. So, it's perfectly understandable that you weren't familiar with them.

l remember having wheelbarrow races at school...though they were different sort of wheelbarrow races,,,still fun though :)

Just popping in to see how everyone is doing, and to see what big plans, if any, everyone has for the weekend.

Also, I hope you are holding up okay Nikki, and you are FINALLY wrapping things up with your move and everything Nikki.....and you are able to find the time to relax and recuperate this weekend! Sending lots of LOVE, strength, and POSTIVE ENERGY your way Nikki my dear! I know it might not be the way you planned it, but you have got to be kinda stoked about finally having it wrapped up and being able to do some traveling ("like a nomad") like you planned to do this summer!

Hello guys. As you know Nikki is still busy with her big move and everything, then she will likely need some time to recuperate before popping in here.....so just for those who weren't already aware of that fact....keep that in mind right now, and know she will be back on here as soon as she gets a chance. Things are just really crazy right now with moving and traveling and everything. Even when she's not here physically, know that she is sending BIG love to all of her followers, and she is always here, if only in spirit! :)

With that in mind, here is some Nikki for you all to enjoy (given the season, I felt it more than appropriate! Ha ha ha! UGH!!!!)

No big plans here for the weekend Jon....been busy with the usual farm chorus today...so nothing new there.

To Nikki....l hope that the very busy time your having with your move is almost over now and that you can have some R+R and recharge your batteries and then enjoy yourself :)

Jitna....don't worry....no inappropriate goings on in those days...just good clean fun.

Good Saturday night, Sunday morning everyone! Since Nikki is probably trying to recuperate from all the work she had to put in this past week with her big move and everything.....I figured I'd pop in to prevent any of you from having Nikki withdrawl! (remember, you can click on the thumbnail for the full sized version of the pic) I figured I'd give you twice the Nikki this time around! :cool:



Now, though we don't know when Nikki will be able to return on here, all of the regulars on here can attest to the fact, and I guarantee Nikki will be back on here as soon as she can. Y'all know Nikki loves and misses the Hell out of us & she'll be back real soon!


That being said, I'm EXHAUSTED....so I bid you all a good night & I will you a very lovely Sunday & week ahead!
