I feel for you......I've been having trouble sleeping again! I'm going on 22 hours straight as I type! I think I am going to cave and take a sleeping pill again! And on the medicine front, about 2 years ago.....I wasn't taking ANYTHING! Now, I'm up to 6 Rx pills, 1 Rx Powder (hope I go back to a pill), and 3 over the counter things a day! Like my Cardiologist implied today......there is virtually a pill for everything......and pills are the best way to treat everything......and they will put you on every pill they can think of! Or, that's the way Doctors think anyway!

I was just watching a Rachael Ray piece on Montreal on Food Network......made me REALLY want to go back up there sometime! I haven't been to Europe yet.....but Montreal is pretty damn close! I love Montreal......just not so much around this time of the year.....TOO COLD!!! Ha ha ha!


ps. Don't ya just love that one pesky "potential little" side effect that is listed for virtually EVERY Rx medication.......namely DEATH!?!? Yeah, I guess I'd call that a side effect! Ha ha ha!

oooh. Sounds a like,love or health related issue. Hopefully whatever it is ...it will turn out great. I am almost sacred to say this for fear of jinxing myself as well but I feel a little better today and that's the first time I can say that since this skin thing hit me. That was 3 weks ago. UGH! The only different that was done was that I was put on bigger stronger steroids ...so...guess that's the golden ticket. Hopefully it keeps improving. I finally got to sleeo at like 4 a.m and now today I can start getting back to doing things I couldn't do before. Today it will be kept domestic in nature and then possible tonight (depending on how I feel I will be on my free cams. If nit then tomorow FOR SURE but hopefully tonight if my health permits it.

I really don't want to jinx you Nikki, but at least that is some hopeful news. Maybe the stronger steroids are what you needed after all. Can't imaginge what the last 3 weeks have been like for you. But hopefully you have finally turned the corner on this.

Now that you mentioned baseball......it's scary that the Pirates actually won 5 Titles....compared to the Phillies 2!!! Then again, the odds of the Phillies winning 4 more this century are probably better than the Pirates getting to.....much less winning 1.....ha ha ha! It's sad.....but true! But the Pirates will ALWAYS be my team & nobody else!

It's funny though that the most socialist sport.....the NFL.....is also the most popular! Green Bay??? Not in any other league.....much less MLB!!! It's funny that exactly what makes the NFL great......is what so many others claim is bad and evil! ha ha ha!

I still want to know what my Dr. meant by "nasty/ugly" in referring to my EKG though.....ha ha ha!

that the phillies have won 1 let alone two at this point, seeing how there was like a 13 or so year time when they couldnt have a winning record except for that one awesome year in '93. and the fact that multiple titles could be coming is even possible is just astounding beyond belief. as for football and baseball, you should watch george carlin's comparison of the two. the militaristic football vs the lollygagging baseball. thats why we love football because its war without the tragedy.

Funny you mentioned Taco Bell! I saw a thing on CNN that said that a study showed that they have now found out that the damage caused to the arteries by eating foods that are high in sodium actually happens MUCH quicker than was 1st thought.

i saw on Colbert the other day that apparently the "beef" in taco bell is only 35% beef, under the 40% where it can legally be called beef. but along with wheat and other filler one of the ingredients was supposedly sand. i have no idea why anyone would put sand in "beef" or any kind of food. makes me happy i havent gone anywhere near taco bell since college

Hey.....I am now halfway into season 5 just since I wrote that. hLike I said...these steroids they have me onb have me so awake and full of adreniline and couldn't sleep last night. I am on season five episdoe 6 now. Guillermo lost his magic and kinda got a bit selfishly dicky. The crush faded with his charm. hahaha I then kinda dug the whole Mexican mayor love affair. Right now it's not so good with her ratting out Guilleromo and being preggers with said mexibaby. I kinda want them wot work it out and end up back in love. Yes I like corrupt fairytales. I find them much more realistic....and relatable. hahaha

Yes...I already knew about that. It was a lead story on yahoo last week. It's no worse than what's in all fast food...and for that matter a lot of what is at the grocery store. I am one of those vegitarian, organic eating, Whole foods shopping health freaks BUT...just like every other person who is good MOST of the time.. I occasionally "slip" and when I do I go way off the rails and yes..Taco Bell is my weekness. It only happens once every couple months though. I'm beyond good 99.9 percent of the time.

First a little background: I had trouble falling asleep last night & didn't actually until after 6 am & I was awake again by noon! So, "logically" I needed a nap this afternoon!

Now, what do y'all make of this? I fell asleep watching "I Love Lucy" on the Hallmark Channel (which has a marathon today). I just woke up about 30 minutes ago & the channel was changed!

Now for some more background: My maternal grandmother died when I was 8......."WAAYYYY back" in 1980. One of her favorite programs was "The Lawrence Welk Show"! PBS actually shows old reruns of the "Lawrence Welk Show" Saturday evenings.....and my local PBS station is no exception (don't ask how I know that.....ha ha ha!).

What do you suppose was on when I woke up? If you guessed a VERY old rerun of "The Lawrence Welk Show" you are correct! How do you suppose my tv changed 50 channels in my sleep.....and it was on my late grandmother's favorite show when I awoke? Granted I did fall asleep by my remote.........but 50 channels???? And no, I didn't have the PBS channel on recall either!

What do y'all make of that!?!?!? I'm not into ghosts or the supernatural.....I'm more of a scientific mind......but I do admit.....at 1st glance.....it is more than just a bit odd!

Like I said......what do y'all make of it!?!?! And no, for the record, I DID NOT see Rod Serling making a cameo or anything either!

Well I very much do believe in ghosts due to my own many experiences throughout my life that give me absolute ZERO doubt in their exhistence. I don't usually think of or reffer to them as "ghosts" though. They are spirits. The simply aren;t housed in a body anymore and there so many dimensions that we are not aware of or able to travel between as we are now but how do you or I know that interdimensional travel isn't very easy once we are in spirit/enrgetic form etc and so on. I think it's awesome. She knows you are going through a scary and difficult time and her way of letting you know that she is with you and loves you. I choose to think of it in that positive, loving way for sure.

Thanks RA, I guess I am as good as can be expected from what I understand. Two ways of looking at it are.....1. I'm still alive.....which ALWAYS beats being dead (that is STILL the one thing that is neither treatable nor curable!).......and 2. I could be a whole Hell of a lot worse.....some die after one heart attack! My blockage is "minor" as blockage goes.....but I STILL have it! It's in a very narrow tiny area....that really isn't conducive to any intrusive treatment! Big thing is that I have said goodbye to the days of the "American Diet"! And of course hello to more pills! Ha ha ha!

It's good to see that Nikki's health seems to be heading in the right direction as well!

That's what I was thinking myself.....it seemed to be TOO much of a coincidence to me! Usually, I am one who believes there is a simple solution to everything! However, I suppose there REALLY isn't always a simple solution! At least, I am still at a loss for a conventional explanation for what happened. To be perfectly honest, though not last night, I have in the past "sensed a presence" before. I never really knew if I was imagining things or not....as I never "saw" anything....and I have NEVER seen "anything". But, who knows....maybe when I "sensed" something.....maybe something (a spirit?) WAS there. In the period shortly after my grandmother died (at an age where I still had a hard time with the concept of death and what it meant), I would from time to time DISTINCTLY smell odors around the house that were UNIQUELY my grandmother......when there should not have been any odor there at all! Perhaps I have been too freely attributing things to COINCIDENCE!?!?!?

I don't know what your opinion is of all these "ghost hunter" so-called "reality" shows is.....but I feel they did more to turn me a skeptic than anything else! However, just like with God's existence.......upon inner examination....I suspect that I am more of a skeptic.....who, deep down.....believes.....or at least WANTS to believe! Perhaps even more given that I may feel like I may be a bit closer to finding out than I used to be! Though, to be perfectly honest......I STILL have a hard time accepting my own mortality.....AND I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad one! Ha ha ha!

I have to take my mother to see a urologist tomorrow at the same place as her primary care physician (Doctor of Internal Medicine).......you know the place with the Taco Bell adjacent to it! But, just for you (indirectly) & for my own well being (directly) I will be a good boy & steer clear of the place! Ha ha ha!

You can't beat a 99 cent fat ass burrito and an 89 cent taco.....much less a $5 fat ass box of food........but like they say.....I guess you REALLY do get what you pay for.....in more ways than one! Ha ha ha!

I was REALLY good for the first month or so after I got out of the hospital.....but recently I have been BAD on occasion! Not that I needed any reminding.....but Friday brought it all back home to me that.......I DO NOT have the luxury of being bad EVEN ONCE!

Too Bad you're not a nutritionist Nikki......because I DEFINITELY could use a GOOD one!!! I was supposed to have heard from one.....and it wasn't supposed to cost me anything.......OF COURSE I never heard from anyone either time! Ha ha ha! (guess that's not really funny.....kinda sad really!)
