Life I said there is a reason I have been on my own since I was *****...LITERALLY and I was able to "legally" have a place in my name when I turned 18. That is when I sold my car for airfare and rent and moved to Cali for good. The other side of the country. This woman IS poison. You have NO IDEA how evil she really has been to me even as a small *****. She is truly one of the most calculating and manipulative people I have ever known. All of my friends who met her when I was growing up know the deal. There is a reason that I have friends and the same ones since I was a ***** and I consider them much more ****** then she will ever be. Remember earlier on in the thread when we were talking about cooking and I said cooking has always been a form of zen to me and I used to watch cooking shows as a *****. Well I was given house key at 6 or 7 and have been taking care of myself ever since. I used to watch Julia Childs because that is all there was to choose from back then and I used to cook actual meals. I was a grown up in many ways already because I had to be my own parent. I used to see my ****** from time to time but due to the line of work he was in it wasn't very often and it wasn't easy. When we did see each other however it was amazing.

Apologies for my absence on bad joke friday... then again, maybe it was a blessing.

Nikki, WELCOME BACK. Believe me, you've been missed. As others have so accurately pointed out the simple reason we did miss you is that you are an amazing, vivacious, positive person we all know deserves to be happy and want to be safe and content.

I cannot imagine what you've put up with, endured, and ultimately put behind you as you move onward and upward, but it speaks volumes for your character, intellect, and will. It's sad that you had to face such disregard and outright hatred from the very person supposed to put you first and protect and nurture you.

So as my friends here have said, I hope that 2011 brings you only happiness, success, and support. And when those (hopefully few) bad days threaten, remember you've got friends... the ****** you choose-- and you have chosen well!

God.....why does my ****** have to be a football fan???

Granted, it has it's pluses....given she raised my ******* and me as a single parent......AND she influenced us into being fans of the GREATEST team in the NFL....the Pittsburgh Steelers! BUT, she is watching the Bears-Seahawks game (which admittedly I am too)....and she is calling me literally every 5 minutes to ask where a player is from.....or where they went to college....to which I almost always say "I don't know". Then, of course she follows up with her favorite catchphrase: "(you'll have to) look it up then"! My ****** has a computer, but she's really not too adept on the Internet.....guess one of these days I'm going to have to teach her.....like she's been asking me to! For the record.....I actually owe alot to my ******......she actually made me into a pretty good quarterback and receiver in high school!

Now I don't normally talk like this........but like I always say to her: my ****** is a tough old broad! Hell she survived 2 strokes 2 years ago.....she's 73, lives on her own....takes care of herself (though I moved south to be closer to her & took care of her while she was recovering), has absolutely no paralysis, barely missed a beat (though she did "age" a lot), walks without a walker, her wheelchair "has cobwebs" on it, she still cooks, she lost a little cognitive ability (but Hell she's still on the ball better than many who didn't have a stroke)! The only thing she really doesn't do anymore is drive!

Much like me, my ****** was an athlete growing up. Statistically, athletes tend to recover much better than non-athletes! That not withstanding.....God forbid, if I ever suffered a stroke......much less 2 (she actually had the 2nd following an operation to clear the blockage that caused the 1st!)! I'd like to believe that I am capable of an AMAZING recovery like her.....but I'm not certain that even I am capable of it! Granted, all strokes are different.......but you still have to have it in you & not be a quitter to recover!

So, even though I wish she wouldn't call every 5 minutes to ask where a player is from, and/or where they went to college......It's kinda hard to get mad at her!

Here's a bit of humor for your Sunday: I told her I was going to make her a novelty t-shirt that reads: "I had 2 strokes........what's your excuse!?!?!"

Hey guys. Apparently the karma Gods decided too many good things have been happening for me lately so they decided to bitch slap me with my own hand. hahaha. I am right handed and a rash started to develop the night before last in between my pinky and ring finger on my right hand. I didn't think anything of it at first because I had been eating so much chocolate for my birthday and traveling and what not and just thought it was some mild allergic reaction to something. Yesterday morning when I woke up I realized something was up and I of course did the WORST thing a person can do and went on the internet and started typing in my symptoms. Every kind of skin thing came up and the only thing that seem to truly match me was either scabies (EWWW) or shingles but I'm not 60. Someone else said it could be staff. The bottom line is that I was in airports which are the most dangerous germ infested places EVER! I don't know what was on that sink or door handle or who was sitting in the seat before I was etc and so on. I had a friend of mine look at it over skype and she works in the medical field. She thinks it's either an allergic reaction or shingles. She said it does occur in younger people in times of stress etc. Either way today it was much worse and now my hand is wrapped in gauze. I am calling my DR tomorrow and hopefully I can get in soon. It's hard to type because it's my right hand and I am right handed so excuse the typos and I will type more when I can.

I hope whatever it is clears up for you soon Nikki! From using those medical "self-diagnosis" sites (such as WebMD) is the for every group of symptoms that you could have.....there are no less than 5 things it could be! Ha ha ha! Now, when I had vertigo.....turns out it was right.....but I thought it "was like vertigo" before checking! Ha ha ha. It was also "right" about the heart ******.....but then again, I had figured it out before checking that time too! I guess it has been right....when I thought something.....and used it to verify! Ha ha ha!

Anyway.....I'm a strong believer in things leveling themselves out! When TOO MUCH is going my way.....I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop! I thought I was the only one who felt that way! For instance, my Steelers won yesterday (after trailing 21-7 at the half)......then I actually fell ****** last night at a good time & stayed ****** all night (and no ******** pills either!)! Then today I felt like crap & was tired and run down pretty much all day! Then it turned right around again........and against all odds and hope.....the Patriots lost today & the Steelers get to host the Jets in the AFC Championship next Sunday.....then I guess either a Steelers hater......or a Ravens fan gave me negative rep (the juvenile in me feels like getting into a negative rep war.....since it was basically because I'm a Steelers fan......but then the sensible adult in me realizes playing along is only giving people like that what they want.....so of course I choose to just ignore it!) on here.....ha ha ha! What is it with people giving negative rep for stupid **** (twice now) & why the Hell do I care? Ha ha ha! Now I don't know what Monday has in store!

But, yea, I definitely believe in Karma & things evening themselves out! It's with this in mind that deep down I would never want to win a huge lottery jackpot! I'm fairly certain that should that ever happen.........I would most certainly die of a massive heart ****** shortly there after!

Anyway......stay sweet & I hope your Doctor gets to the bottom of it & your hand heals quickly for you!

Hell Nikki, you might as well try to make a few bucks off whatever is wrong with your right hand.......sadly it is the American way after all! From the picture of your hand, may I suggest auditioning for a job as a hand model for Johnson & Johnson (Gauze).......I mean they would have to look pretty damn hard to find a lovelier hand.....ha ha ha! The second idea was to audition for the "major" motion picture: "Wife of the Mummy"! God knows someone somewhere has to be making that movie! Ha ha ha!

But seriously..........I hope it clears up for you!


By the way guys.....I already came up with an original AWFUL (corny) joke for Bad Joke Friday.....but you'll have to wait of course!

yeah, thats not karma. karma is the being punished or rewarded for good or bad behavior and traditionally its not within a single lifetime but through many, mostly in the determination of ones next reincarnation. what youre talking about is just the vagrancies of life, or maybe the sick sense of humor of whatever divinity you do or do not believe in.

In Buddhist Karma is the progression of ones many lives toward enlightenment. When you start out you have no Karma, so you are an insect. As you gain good Karma, you progress toward human. As you gain bad Karma you move away from being human toward the insect. Human is the last step before enlightenment, and once that is achieved reincarnation is stopped.
But I agree with jitna, Nikki would be the hottest mummy ever and I would love to be the effects guy to unwrap her everyday

well buddhism was basically the reaction of the endless cycle of rebirth, awakening from the ***** that is life. there is a level beyond human, an ethereal angelic form, but most souls dont stay at the level for long. of course that would be hinduism, but buddhists dont care about all of that (at least the older forms of it) because thats the concerns of the material world, while the goal of buddhism is leave the material world for nirvana

and i wouldnt mind being the guy wrapping her up in the morning everyday. those would be some very tight gauze let me tell you. formfitting.

Well Nikki, and everyone else, it looks like "The Social Network" won the Golden Globe for Best Picture! As most of you know.....that is usually a pretty good indicator which picture will also win the Oscar as well!
