Thoses that have not learned from history are doomed to repeat it.
The problem is that Democrats are as bad for such as Republicans.
In general, Americans -- since the Suez Incident -- have tried to tip-toe and apologetically enact a general "fairness" on the world, when everyone has agendas. The US used to keep its agendas to the Americas, and not bite off more than it can chew.
Yes, Afghanistan is a history lesson. So is Iraq. But it falls on both Democrats and Republicans. Many predicted the inactions of both Bush Sr. and Clinton, and their refusal to directly expose the selfishness and hypocrisy of both the EU and the Middle East, with regards to Iraq, would lead to all fingers pointing at the US in the end. W. was just stupid enough to give everyone the direct, undeniable excuse -- even though the US didn't cause it.
Hot Mega and Philbert, will their duels become legendary?
Philbert is a blatant right-winger, but he doesn't hide it.
What I can't stand about Hot Mega and, God help me and even worse, Friday, is how much of left-wingers they are, and won't admit it. I'll give Hot Mega some credit at times, but sometimes his apologies for Obama clearly shows he's not being objective.
I'll defend Obama just like W. when it's petty non-sense as well as "hey, the 'other party' did the same thing." But I'm sorry, blind Democrats are just as bad as blind Republicans. And their masses which excuse their actions are destroying the country.
And we've been well past the tipping point. Anyone who believes there was no outsourcing, no H1B, no losses of jobs, no screwed up financial messes, etc... during the Clinton years are just blind. Not that Clinton was "worse" than anyone else, but it was also a period of false wealth that was eradicated in his last year, and continued into the next. And there was a Republican Congress that helped accelerated it too.
Finger pointing is what really gets to me, because we solve nothing with it.
